Childhood Friends Request #2

HOPE YOU LIKE IT!!!

Ever since Shuichi could remember he always was around his childhood friend Kaede, All the things they went through together such as building sandcastles and playing tag. So many years spent and never wasted.

2nd Grade;
"shu! Cmon!!! There are two swings open finally!!!"
Kaede ran to the swings her bright pink shoes lighting up with every step.
"H-hold on! I'm coming!" Shuichi looked down at his shoe to pull the Velcro strap tighter only to look up to be met with two older boys around Kaede yelling,
"HEY BRAT! We said get off!!! We have been waiting for hours!"
Kaede gripped the swing chains tighter puffing out her cheeks.
"Recess hasn't even been going on that long!"
One of the boys walked behind her and began to violently shake the chains.
"Get off get off get off!!!!"
She began to wail and hold on tight.
Shuichi watched as his friend got bullied by the two boys and he kicked up some dirt and cleared his throat fixing his small hat.
"H-HEY!! Leave my friend alone!!!"
He walked over stomping on the ground as he did.
The two boys snapped their necks to him and began to laugh.
"Pffffft! Look at this little chum!"
Shuichi puffed out his chest and yelled
"LEAVE HER AL-"
He was suddenly met with a sharp pain in his chest as he felt the wind get knocked out of him. He had been sucker punched by one of the boys.
Kaedes eyes went wide as she hopped off the swing running to a panting Shuichi on the playground sand.
"S-Shu!!!!" Her eyes began to get watery as she cried out loud hugging her friend.
An adult female voice boomed through the playground
"Hey what's going on!!?!"
"Uh oh!!! Run!"
The two boys scattered as one of the teachers ran over with an aid to see Shuichi on the ground panting and gasping for air as Kaede gripped him tight.
"Oh my goodness!!!!!!" The aid softly grabbed Kaede to move her away and the Teacher grabbed her walkie to call out the schools nurse.
"Dear what happened? The teachers aid asked calmly.
"T-two big mean old boys!!! P-punched Shu!!!"
The Aid narrowed her eyes scanning the playground not seeing any suspicion.
"We will look into it"
The last thing Kaede remembered was her dear friend being rushed into the building.

Shuichi didn't come back to school for weeks after that, She wondered still if it was her fault, But her mom told her he was doing just fine since her mom was good friends with Shu's.
When he finally did come back he had a small inhaler in a plastic bag and promised Kaede he was fine.
The bullies never got caught.

8th Grade;

The mall became a staple hangout for them, There favorite store being What's hot; Which was a pop culture store that carried all their favorite merch.
Kaede carried 2 bags from a small store in the mall that carried Japanese candy. She wore a black skirt and a blue graphic tee with her favorite cartoon on it.
"Cmon Shu! I don't wanna miss this sale!!!
Shuichi trailed behind wearing all black jeans and an all black shirt with his favorite band on it. His hair growing out a little long so one of his eyes was just covered by his bangs.
"Heh, now I know you know I don't wanna miss it either..."
He smiled softly and caught up with his excited friend.
After all these years of being friends he knew nobody better than her, now that he was getting older and seeing everyone at school holding hands and pecking on the cheek, He started to wonder what it would be like to just have a small kiss with Kae-
His face broke out in a bright blush. "Agh!!!.." he thought.
"Cmon Shu your going a little too slow!"
He spaced out but was quickly brought back to feel warmth trail down his fingers. He saw Kaedes hand in his causing him to heat up more as he used his other hand to cover his face.
"R- right! Lead the way!!!"
He had never really felt this way with his best friend before, So...What was so different this time?
He moved his hand to be met with the storefront with all the signs; BOGO tees and 25% Off on select items!
Shuichi smiled to be met with the store. He knew exactly what he was buying already.
"Ok we are here let's go!!!"
Kaede ran into the dark store giggling happily which caused him to smile aswell.
After shopping and checking out the both of them walked out of the store holding their bags.
"Kaede I uhh..got you something..!"
Kaede turned to look at him her eyes lighting up.
"Wha...! You didn't have too!!!"
Shuichi smiled digging into the bag pulling out a player 2 keychain. "Here! I have a matching one! They are friendship keychains!!!"
Kaede gasped looking at it smiling goofily at the pink heart.
"I adore it! Thank you so much!!!"
She wrapped him in a tight hug smiling and giggling.
