Kelvingrove Museum
Glasgow

After a motorcade from Glasgow Airport to the art museum, Jack and Jackie were given a guided tour of the historic Kelvingrove.

The Scottish art museum displayed some of the country's finest works.

"Oh the displays here are beautiful" Jackie told the curator, fascinated by the works of art and the artefacts on display.

"Well Mrs Kennedy, the people of Scotland have kept this open since 1901" The curator told her. Jackie giggled before catching up with Jack.

To finish up the visit to the museum, Jack was scheduled to make a speech. When he got to the podium in the main foyer, Jackie looked on proudly.

"People of Glasgow. It has been wonderful visiting your city and this gorgeous museum that you can call 'yours'" Jack smiled as everyone laughed.

"But, seeing I'm not exactly fascinated as she is, I'm going to ask my wife Jacqueline to speak to you about our visit today" Jack said, turning to look at his wife.

Jackie was a bungle of nerves. She hadn't given a speech since November the previous year. And it was the night before she nearly lost Jack. This one would be difficult.

Jackie stood up, in her tartan suit and began to speak to the crowd.

"People of Glasgow. The visit to Kelvingrove shall be memorable for my husband and I" Jackie smiled as she looked behind at her husband.

"We've enjoyed admiring your beautiful collection and we hope we shall be able to return again. Except to bring our children too" Jackie added.

Everyone cheered when she mentioned 'the children'. Jack laughed before applauding with the crowd.

"Glasgow is a beautiful city and is enriched with history and I am extremely proud to be have been here with my husband".

To finish her speech, Jackie finished with the line: "Long live Caledonia". The crowd erupted into a cry, applauding the beaming First Couple.

Before their departure from the city, they were presented with a painting from the Kelvingrove museum and an invite to return.
