After another motorcade through the city, Jack and Jackie were ready to depart Scotland.
"We'll go along the rope line a final time" Jack whispered as he helped his wife out the limousine.
As they shook hands a final time with Scots before they climbed the steps into Air Force One.
Together they turned around and waved goodbye to the country they had fallen in love with. As they waved, Jackie felt Jack wrap his arm around her waist. She tried not to blush but her heart raced.
Together they headed into the private cabin. "Scotland is a beautiful country" Jackie smiled, and Jack agreed.
"We'll come back soon" He promised lowering himself into the armchair. They buckled up before Air Force One took off, bound for Washington.
