(Your pov)
Today is my first mission with the ghosts and we were on a chopper and headed for texas. While talking with Logan, Hesh and Merrick I realized Keegan wasn't talking. So I turned a little (he was behind the pilot) so I was facing him and asked why he wasn't talking since he was the night before. In response he gave me an ice cold glare which prompted Merrick to explain that Keegan doesn't talk on missions unless he has to. After that I thanked Merrick for explaining and went back to listening to the plan.
(Keegans POV)
I was sitting behind the pilot and was trying to listen to the plan but was distracted by my thoughts. Mostly I was thinking about being paired with the new girl. Just as I was trying to convince myself it wasn't that bad that we got paired up, she asked why I wasn't talking and all I could do was stare back. I wanted to explain (but couldn't for some reason, it was like I forgot how to speak) to her that first and foremost I don't speak once we leave base unless I have to, and second I tell Merrick my ideas and if they are used he explains them to everyone else. I know it seemed like I dont like her but that's not it at all this mission is very important and nothing can go wrong, so I just don't like the thought of having a recruit go on such an important mission. Just as that thought finished we landed and we all headed to where we were supposed to.

Me and Keegan were on our way to a building across from where Merrick and the others were going to be. The only thing I was focused on was my thoughts. I was thinking that it was weird for such a small group to be sent out to try and stop the enemy from breaching the wall, and also that we split up and went to two buildings that were barely able to provide good enough cover and a very small sniping point for Keegan and myself. Just then I was pulled from my thoughts by Keegan screaming in pain. That's when I realized he just saved me from a sniper bullet and got hit in his side, not wanting to waist any time i got my sniper rifle ready and took down the guy who shot Keegan. After that I decided to use my shirt to cover his wound which didn't seem to make him to happy and that confused me. So after tending to his wound the best I could I called the others over the walkie talkie to let them know what just happened and to tell them to be careful. While Keegan and I continued up to the top of the building that we were going to the only thing that crossed my mind was this is my first mission and I already messed up big time.
(Keegan's pov)
While y/n and I were headed to our designated sniping building I noticed a glare from the building diagonal to ours and tried to call to her with no reply. Since she wasn't responding the only thing I could do was push her out of the way which caused me to get shot and to cry out in pain. Finally she started to pay attention which angered me because I was wondering what would distract her so much on a mission that only a scream could get her attention!?! The only thing that comforted me a little was that y/n killed the guy that almost killed her. That's when a worse decision was made she took off her only shirt to cover my wound, then called to the others to let them know to expect hostiles. So after all that crap we head to the top of where we were supposed to go only for Merrick to tell us he called in a chopper because they had cleared the area. I had a bad feeling about this but decided not to argue because I was in a lot of pain and if he was calling a chopper he got some intel that would nullify the mission objective. After about half an hour the chopper arrived and we went home but on the way everyone was fixated on y/n which caused my blood to boil which was weird for me. So I spoke up and yelled at them to act more like soldiers not teenaged school boys which seemed to work for now.
