I was a wretch in filthy rags,
I was covered in sin and shame,
I was nothing but a mess,
a shattered mess.Darkness over-shadowed my world,
Crippling pain soared through my veins,
I lay desolate and isolated,
Hope just felt so far away.Day by day, which felt like forever,
The devil's whispers kept ringing in my head;
"God ain't coming, He ain't ever coming for you.
Save your tears, you were destined for death not life."
Feeling defeated, I found no reason to live.Oh, but you did come for me Lord,
I didn't know why, but now I do;
Not because of who I am,
But because of who You are. ❤"Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." - Matthew 11:28
