After about a couple of hours of doing my chores and spending time with Benny it was now time to leave. I packed things up for both Benny and I in a bright peach colored Nike sports bag and threw it in the back of my car.

I let my Dad know about what I was doing like Ashton said to and he was fine with it. Mainly because him and my dad get along really well and he knows Ashton will take care of me. I take Benny out back to use the bathroom and after that we headed towards the car.

I decided to leave Benny without a leash because I know he won't run away or anything, at least not on purpose.

I put Benny in the passenger seat of my car and hopped into the driver's seat. I made sure I had my wallet and my phone before putting on my seatbelt and starting my car. I rolled down the windows of my car, letting the fresh air enter. I breathe in deeply and put the car in reverse, backing out of the driveway.

I smile as I look over at Benny as he stuck his head out of the window. His tongue is hanging out of his mouth lazily and from my perspective it looks like he is smiling. I look back at the road and notice my turn coming up.

I turn right onto a familiar dirt road. Memories come flooding back into my brain as I drive down the road and it makes me smile. Up ahead I see Ashton's truck in the distance and he standing beside it facing my car.

I pull up beside his truck and smile a small smile at him. I open my car door and get out after I turn my car off of course. I walkaround my car and open the door for Benny. His tail starts wagging back and forth really fast after he realizes that Ashton's here.

He jumps out and barks at Ashton while jumping up and down on him. Ashton laughs and bends down to pet Benny. "Hey buddy" Ashton says and then gives Benny a kiss on the side of his head. I smile down at the sight and then walk back to my car realizing that I forgot my phone. It was now beginning to get dark and it was a bit chilly out as well.

After I grab my phone I shut the car door back and lock it. Ashton was opening up the tailgate when I walked back. He smiles over at me and then begins to talk. "Hey blondie, I missed you today" he wraps his arms around my waist tightly. I do the same around his neck as I give in to the hug.

No matter if I was mad at him or not, I couldn't resist his hugs. Their so warm and they make me feel safe. A minute went by and we finally separated. "Don't worry I'll tell you why I didn't come over to your house or to school, let's just get situated first" he says and I nod my head walking towards the tailgate.

I turn around and as I suspected, Ashton was right behind me. He smiled down at me and then grabbed the back of my thighs lifting me up onto the tailgate. I couldn't help but laugh as Ashton stood there, looking at me confused.

"Why do you always do that?" I ask in between giggles. "Do what?" he laughs slightly at me laughing. "Lift me up" I say and his cheeks turn a mild shade of pink which makes me laugh more.

"I just thought that you weren't able to get up there" he says and I could tell that he was lying. "Uh huh, right" I say and jump down off of the tailgate. He furrows his eyebrows at me and I smile as I jump back up on the tailgate with ease.

"I can get up here alone" I say but I then jump back down before saying, "But I prefer it when you lift me up".

He smiles at me and then lifts me up again and setting me down on the tailgate. "Good cause I will never stop picking you up" he says and jumps up onto the tailgate with me. "Never?" I raise an eyebrow. "Never" he states firmly.

I look down at the tailgate and I see that he has it set up already. However, it wasn't like before with just one blanket and two pillows.

There were lots of comfy looking blankets. I'm not talking about the thin little blankets. These were big white feather bedspread blankets. They were set up in a way that made you want to jump into them.
