I was awoken from my sleep because of a really loud crash coming from Ashton's house. What in the world happened?! I jumped out of my bed as Benny starts barking. "Benny! Hush!" I whispered to Benny making him quiet down.
I popped my head out of my room to make sure nobody woke up. Good thing my dad is a heavy sleeper. I quietly but quickly shut my door running to my window and opening the curtains. I saw Ashton ASLEEP in his bed!!!!!
What the heck dude?! I looked down at his driveway and saw no vehicles in the driveway except for his. I looked back at him and then opened my window.
"Your going to regret this decision" I mumbled to myself. There wasn't a big space between our houses so I could reach his window if I stretched my arm out enough. I pulled on his window and fortunately for me his window was unlocked. I reminded myself to talk to him about that later on.
I opened his window and slid into his room. It was actually a very neat room for a guy, or a person in general. Oh no, I might me friends with a germaphobe! Later Adah, your getting sidetracked! I said to myself in my mind.
I walk over to him and violently shake him awake. Before you say 'why would you do that?' or 'you might scare him' just remember that he slept threw his alarm and wasn't even fazed by the loud crash.
His eyes immediately shot open and then after waking up a bit he started asking me a million questions. "What do you want? Why are you here? How did you get in? Why'd you shake me so hard?".
"You didn't hear that at all?!" I questioned shockingly. "Hear what?" he asked furrowing his eyebrows. I was about to reply when a loud crash came from downstairs. "That!" I whisper shouted.
His eyes widened before jumping up out of bed and locking his bedroom door. "Someone's in my house!" he whisper shouted back at me. I decided to use some of my famous sarcasm to lighten the mood a bit.
"Well yeah, I kind of figured that's what the loud crashing was" I said and he glared at me. I guess I did the exact opposite of lighten the mood.
"Maybe it's just your parents?" I asked trying to stay positive even though it was quite hard to be positive at this point.
"My mom's away on business for almost two more months it can't be her" he said and you could see the sadness in his eyes when I asked about his parents. "Siblings?" I asked.
"I'm an only child" he said looking from the floor to me. We suddenly heard footsteps coming up the stairs and they were extremely loud footsteps, might I add. Someone must be a little angry, I thought to myself.
I pulled him over to his window as the footsteps became louder signaling that they were coming into close contact with his bedroom door. He put his hands on my waist and lifted me up helping me out of the window.
I hopped into my room and Ashton followed shortly after me. He shut his window and then shut my window as well. We saw his bedroom door start to move and our eyes widened. I closed my curtains so the person couldn't see us but we still peeked out.
I was squatting in front of Ashton and Ashton was squatting as well but I still had to look up to him because he was taller than me. He had one of his arms wrapped around my chest and shoulders as his other arm was lightly wrapped around my waist, it was like he was shielding me from getting hurt.
As his bedroom door shook I could hear his breathing getting heavy so I lightly put one of my hands on his forearm that was wrapped around my shoulders and my other hand rested on his that was on my waist. I squeezed it lightly then started to draw slow circles on the back of his hand which seemed to calm him.
