Mkaaaayyy……………100 views so far so good thanks to everypony who is reading and following along with us in our stories. Apologies for the past short chapters. Anywho……………on with the ponies!

I watched my brush glide smoothly down the canvas and tried my best to clean up the mark I made on it. I held my brush in my hoof and reached for a tissue. I blew my muzzle into it with a loud noise. A few seconds later I sneezed………then needed a tissue again.

"Hmm……maybe I'm getting sick……" I kept painting until noon and went out to have some lunch.

Grabbing my sweatshirt and scarf I heard a knock at the door. I sneezed again.

"Which is it?" I barked.

"Sturdy hoof." I heard a voice say.

"Oh well come on in." He opened the door and right away embraced me in a hug. We stood there for quite a while until I broke our embracement.

"What was that for?" I wondered. He paused for a minute and looked up at me with sorrow.

"Im…………………im moving…" he mumbled. I was stricken with the same expression sturdy had on his face.

"But……but why? You have a nice house here and I don't see any reason for you to leave." I gulped. A frown was planted across his face.

"Well……i got a really good job……pays a lot of bits but… its all the way out in manehatten. This is a once in a life time oppertunity though. I get to work with the greatest film directer in equestria. Please, pencil, please understand." He looked at me straight in the eyes. My own coltfriend……leaving. Tears began to well up in my bright yellow eyes but I forced them back. I did understand……i just didn't want him to go.

"When do you leave?"

"Tomorrow morning…"

"Then lets make the most of today." A smirk grew on our faces.

It was almost midnight and strudy hoof and I walked alone in the town square. After a while sturdy stopped and held my hoof out in front of myself and stared directly at me.

"Here…" he slipped something into my hoof and left me a kiss and went off.

"Goodbye" I mumbled. I looked down at my hoof. In it was a small box with a ribbon wrapped around it.

I coughed and blew my nose. This morning, I was definitely sick. I blew my nose about a hundred times and snuggled up more in my bed. I toyed and rolled the box sturdy gave me last night in my hoof. I waited for sturdy hoof to come and knock on my door, as he does almost ever day. But I forgot.

"Oh……" I frowned. But then I did hear a knock on the door. My ears twitched and I rose up out of bed. I felt clumsy and dizzy. I opened the door and two mares stood infront of me.

"Hey blue, hey peace." I said with a stuffy nose. They took one look at me and cringed. My hair was a tangled mess, my bright yellow eyes were a dull color, my eyes were also puffy, and I walkes around with a thick blanket wrapped around me.

"Sheesh, what happened to you pencil?" Askes peace trotter.

"Well as you can see……im sick." I still wore a frown on my face and looked down. Something was wrong with me… but I couldn't figure it out.

"Hey pencil, really, you don't look too good." Stated peace.

"Yea, and you're never this upset when you're sick. So what's wrong?" Added blue.

"I don't know… I guess I'm jusr upset about…" they leaned in closer. "About sturdy hoof leaving."

"Leaving!?" They said in unison.

"What the hay do you mean leaving!?" Yelled peace. I took the time to explain. They looked at me in shock but also sadness.

"Oh pencil, we're so sorry." Said blue heart. They wrapped me in a warm hug.

"You might not want to hug me right now…" they broke the hug and smiled. I didn't realize it but I had the small box cupped under my hoof.  My friends realized it and gazed at it.

"Is that from…"

"Yep." I completed blue's question. "He gave it to me last night before he left…" I looked down at it.

"Open it." Said peace. we huddled around the box as I removed the silky ribbon and slipped the top off. We gasped and smiled.

Inside was only a ring and a note.
