Me and sturdy hoof sat by a table in a restruant where I picked at my food. Sturdy finished his meal and saw me continuesly spinning spaghetti.

"Pencil……" I stared at him. He took my hoof in his. "I know its hard…"

"No you don't...." I mumbled. I looked down at my hooves. "I know what you're going through."

"No. You. Don't."

"But try to understand that-"

"No. You. DONT!!" My hoof slammed on the table and I stormed out of the restaurant. I probably drew everyponies attention but I didn't care. I saw sturdy hoof, shocked by my actions. I was shocked by my actions. I walked along the cold street. I felt tears come down from my eyes, only to try to force them back. I'm a tough pony, not a weak one. But I felt weak. Ever since I've moved with sturdy, I haven't felt right. I longed for my friends. I wish they were here. Not being with them made me off balance.

I kept walking, ponies rushing by me. I walked and walked until I came to our apartment. I slammed the door and looked in the mirror. My face was a mess.

I took a shower and cooled down. After I dried myself off I came into the living room to face sturdy hoof on the couch. He sat their motionless and wore a blank expression. He just stared at me like he was thinking long and hard, and I stared straight back. I was about to take a step forward until he stood up and walked over to me. He wrapped me in a hug and whispered something in my ear.

"117, hoofstrick Lane."

"Wha-" he stopped me and walked out the door to his new filming job.
117 hoofstrick lane? I thought. But………thats an abandoned road that runs through the Forrest…why would he want me to go there? I sat on the couch to continue thinking. Sturdys job ends at 7, and its 5 now. By the time I get there it'll be dark.

"But I'll go anyway."

My mind raced as I walked through the Woods. The snow bit at my hooves with every step I took. I kept walking and walking, getting nearer to the street. I stopped when I saw something out of the corner of my eye. It was tall and slender. I walked towards it only to find it was a tree.

"get a grip pencil, nothings in these woods. These old………woods.....that no ones been in forever." My head ducked lower and lower with every word and my pace quickened. I shook my head. "Stop it! Nothings in these woods that's here to hurt you!" Right after my sentence I heard a low growl. I spun my head around. Nothing was there. I turned back, nothing there either. I turned my head back again for a last check, then turned around to have a wolf inches away from my face. It growled and its teeth were gnarled. I began to shuffle backwards but kept slipping on the snow. I fell and the wolf came over top of me. It began to lean back, about to strike at me when something slipped me out from under the wolf and held me tight. I could tell it was a stallion……infact, it was sturdy hoof. I could see his face dimly from under the nights shadows. I let him out run the wolf by a great distance until he set me down. He panted heavily and I waited for him to catch his breath

"So what gives?" I looked around the road to see if anything was around, and nothing was.

"I needed to talk to you in private. You kinda tend to make a scene." I smugged.

"I do don't I…"

"More to the point. Let's work this out. Yes, I understand you miss your friends more than ever. Yes, I understand you don't like it here. But I have a responsiblility here… a big one. But I just couldn't do it without you." He eyed the ring on my hoof. I forgot about it. "And … I still need an answer." I stared at the diamond encased ring.

"I……i don't know……things have been tough on me latley and I haven't had the time to think about it." I said.

"Then think about it." He patted me on the shoulder and held me close.

"I still don't think its right being here though……i need to ve with my friends…but I also want to be with you."

"Don't worry, I've got a plan."
