I sat in my room in the Crystal Empire. Buckets of ice cream, empty and full, overtook most of the floor. The empty ones were full with tear soaked tissues. I was on my 19th bucket of ice cream. "Doesn't make sense... Om nom nom. Same train... Om nom nom. Soon Christmas... Om nom nom. Missed his bi-i-irthday! OM NOM NOM!" I had too much stress going on at once. It was suspicious that Blue's parents were in the same train at the same time. I don't even know if she and Atari were in the Empire yet. I also missed Mix Tape's birthday today. His birthday!
I was a terrible marefriend.
And best friend.
There was a knock at the door. I sniffled and wiped away some tears. "C-come in."
A pink alicorn opened the door with worry deep in her expression. "Hiya Peace, how you feeling?"
I put my eyes to the ground avoiding Cadence's gaze and buried myself deep under some blankets. "Not so good." I took a look around the messed up room. "I'll clean this up then. Just go back to your coltfriend, you're too good a good marefriend." I knew they were married, but I needed to make a point.
"You are a good marefriend Trotts, a great one." Trotts? No pony calls me that except...
"MIX TAPE!" I spread my wings and dashed to him, tackling him to the ground. "OhmyCelestiawhatareyoudoinghereIdidn'tthinkyou'dvisituntilwellIdidn'tknowwhenyouwouldbut-" he cut my off with a long missed kiss.
"I wanted to spend my birthday with you." He told me.
I smiled for real for the first time since I was here. "Thanks Mix. What were you planning on doing today?"
Mix put an overdramatic thinking face on. "Weeeeell, I don't know what's in the Empire. Maybe you can show me some of your favorite places to go?"
My thoughts jumbled but I eventually thought of my favorite Crystal Empire activities. "We can go to the library, then a little cafe down the street, there's a music store I've been dying to check out and a Christmas Crystal fair that goes on today until Christmas."
He smiled. "All sounds good to me let's go!"
I cheered but remembered the state I was in. There was tears and ice cream that matted my coat and mane. My deep blue eyes were puffy and red. I shyly smiled. "I'll clean up first."
He smiled and responded with a kiss, which I took as a "As long as I can spend the day with you.".
