Terry’s POV
My mind was still trying to process what happened, it all happened so quick, the window shattering to a million peices, the teacher getting bit on the neck, the screams of the other people, but even with all that in my head I only had one goal and that was to get Aaliyah out off there.
About 5 minutes later we found ourselves in the back of an alley and zombies were closing in quick. There was three of them at the beginning of the alley and about twenty of them behind the three. They were close, so we couldnt out run them. So I quickly looked around furiously, it was going to be the end of us if I don’t think of something quick.
Out of the corner of my eye I find a huge metal dumpster “Stay back,” I said to Aaliyah as she tries to crawl back into the alley more. Her knees were bleeding from scraps. I put my hands on the cold metal of the dumpster and pushed it with all my strenght toward the front of the alley. Then I wedge it against the walls of the alley just in time to stop the horde from reaching us.
I then ran back to Aaliyah to aid her “ Can you walk?” I ask her
“Kind of,” she responds as she tries to get up, I look arounds for another exit to find a ladder about 10 ft. up in the air. I jump trying to grab it but its no use, its too high.
“Theres another trash can over there” Aaliyah points to a small tin trash can. without hesitation I quickly lunge for it and I emptied the its contents on the floor. Then I stacked it on the floor and pulled the ladder down and we proceeded to climb it to a staircase that lead to a staircase which lead to the rooftop of a building.
Aaliyah goes first as I watch her back. The zombies are starting to unwedge the dumpster so I quickly climb up when shes up. When we make it to the rooftop we are greeted by orange skies and a black S.W.A.T helicopter with two machine guns. As they rain down hell on the zombies on the street, “Get down” I say and we both drop to the floor near an air conditioner.
As the heli passes, there is a solid ten seconds of silence between us, then Aaliyah breaks it. “Why,” she ask and I looked at her.
“Because they might have shot at us.” We both sit down next to each other leaning on the air conditioner. I reach into my pocket and pull my bandanna out wrapping it around her knee to stop the bleeding.
“Thanks” Aaliyah says. I remember I use to play zombie games on my Xbox like, Deadrising, Black Ops 2, Dead Island, but I never imagined that I would be in a real zombie apocalypse. We stayed there for a few minutes before I got up.
“We should get moving,” I say
“Where?” She asks, I think for a good period of time.
“My house ain’t too far from here,” I suggest
“Ok that sounds like a good idea,” Aaliyah replies. I checked the streets from the roof, there were very few of them roaming around there, so we both head for another staircase that leads to a different alley.
We head into the alley, everything was quiet here until we heard the sound of footsteps, I jerk my head to where the sound was coming from. It was a guy with a grey hoodie and ripped jeans, he looked like he was in his late 20’s.
“Hey?” I say nervously, he still keeps running toward me and slams me against the brick wall. I groan in pain and he punches me shortly afterward. Everything goes black and I think I hear Aaliyah scream.
