"How did you know they were going to sacrifice me?" asked Joi, still shocked at the days events.

"I didn't I just felt like something bad was going to happen, so I acted."

"I don't understand, how could you feel it?" She questioned curiously.

"Have you ever heard of the Jedi?" Asked Valon.

"Yeah, my grandad told me that they were the guardians of the galaxy. They led the Grand army of the Republic into battle, until they betrayed it and had to be wiped out. I also know they used magic and worshipped something called the Force." she told Valon what little knowledge she knew of the order.

"Sort of, the Jedi were guardians but they did not betray the Republic they themselves were betrayed." He explained.

"I never knew." said Joi.

"There are two sides to the Force, the light and the dark, the Jedi used the light to help and protect others. Their enemies the Sith, used the dark, for their own greed, often through harming others." he explained further.

"Are there any left?" Joi asked.

"Jedi or Sith?"

"Both."

"Well there are three Jedi left, that I know of and as for the Sith I'm not sure." Valon told her.

"Really! Who are they?" She became excited.

"There are two Jedi fighting against the empire. The other - is me." said Valon.

"Woah really, how did you survive, can you use the Force, is that why you have a lightsaber?" she questioned him.

"I was just a baby when the clone wars ended, my old master Nu trained me in the Force and yes this is my lightsaber." he answered, holding out his lightsaber for her to look at.

"May I?"

"Yes."

She held the double bladed weapon in her hands, being careful not to ignite it, in the cramped crew quarters of her father's ship. She felt it with her hands, inspecting every detail of the magnificent weapon. Valon felt her connection with the Force, it grew stronger when her emotions, were at their highest level.

Joi was happy, for once. Since Valon had met her she had only experienced pain and struggle. Now he would take her home, to find her father, Keir. Who was most likely, in Tranquilla, where he'd be finding a ship to meet his daughter.

Valons new ship, travelled back towards the mid rim, it was now his duty as a Jedi to protect Joi and to reunite her with her father. The engine hummed, as they flew through hyperspace, towards their destination. They could finally relax, the fate of Joi, had not been smooth to far but things were looking up, Valon would find her dad and the two would travel far away to start a new life. A new paradise.

"Here." she handed him back the lightsaber.

"Thanks, I think your father will be in the town, we'll find him there but first we'll go to your vineyard to see if he's still there, it's worth a look." said Valon.

"Sir, we're approaching Naboo." announced Reg.

"Good, i'll take over." said Valon, moving to sit in his pilot's seat.

The ship landed on the light green grass outside the house, the blades of grass swaying as the thrusters settled, something was wrong. An imperial transport was parked at the road, leading up to Joi's home, several troopers and an officer surrounded the property. Valon feared the worst but Joi was simply confused, she had not imagined what would happen if the Hutts came looking for him. Two stormtroops marched over, throwing their hands in the air in definance of the landing.
