If Chloe had caught someone driving as she had just driven, she would surely have got them a speeding ticket. She got to the hospital and found her way around the halls, asking someone new for directions in every corner until she finally found the officers that were guarding the room.

They greeted her with nods and continued talking without paying her much mind. They were eager to finish there and go home to sleep. Their shift had finished an hour ago, but there were always extra hours in their line of work.

Officer Lance met with her in front of the door. "Where is your partner?" She asked looking far behind Chloe.

Chloe tried to play it cool. "He couldn't make it."

"She wanted to talk to him," the officer insisted.

"Well, she gonna have to talk to me," she simply said.

Officer Lance sighed. Having had her patience drained by Azazel, she barely had any left to deal with the detective. She guided Chloe inside the room and gestured towards Azazel, whose attention they had caught.

"Azazel," Officer Lance said, "This is Detective Chloe Decker. She's your brother's partner."

"I've got this, officer. Thank you," Chloe said amiably, "You can leave, get some rest."

Officer Lance was hesitant, but she nodded at the end. She gave her notes to the detective and left.

"Hello Azazel," Chloe said cautiously, "Officer Lance told me what happened. How are you feeling?"

Azazel looked her up and down, unsure of how to interact with her. There was a lot of energy in the detective's presence, Azazel could feel it. Just as Patrick's energy was light and almost soothing, or Officer Lance had been a strong hard one, like a wall; the detective's was bigger and almost chaotic. It filled the room and it felt different each second, as if each time she was noticing new layers, but it was unmistakably hers. Azazel thought the detective might be different from the rest of the humans she had met so far.

"I'm good," Azazel said.

"You are looking for Lucifer," Chloe asked, "Lucifer Morningstar?"

Azazel scoffed when she heard the name. "Morningstar? A bit redundant..." She locked eyes with Detective Decker. "Yes. Do you know where I can find him?"

Chloe couldn't believe Azazel was Lucifer's sister. Azazel had olive skin and a Southern European accent. Spanish maybe? Her nose ended in a little ball; it wasn't slim and long like Lucifer's. Her youth shielded her round face from any hard features characteristic from age. Her hair was curly. Chloe failed to see any similarity with Lucifer. If anything, both of them had brown eyes, but hers were bigger. No, she decided. Azazel didn't look anything like him. But Amenadiel and Lucifer couldn't be more different and they were still brothers. Chloe couldn't just discard what she had learned.

She analyzed the girl, trying to determine whether she was telling the truth. If she was, that would make her a celestial. An angel. She should have wings, but her back was injured. The officer's notes said that it was as if something had been carved out. Lucifer used to have similar scars where his wings were supposed to be; Chloe had seen them.

"Detective?" Azazel urged.

"He's gone," Chloe told the girl.

"Gone... Where to?" Azazel asked, "It's important."

"Back home."

"Home?" Azazel frowned. That simple word had so many layers. Home for her was the Silver City and, at some point, it must have been Lucifer's too. Home could be his house in Los Angeles, wherever that may be. Or it could be deeper, lower. It could be Hell.
