I had a sleepless night, like I predicted. I tossed and turned but Mason invaded my thoughts and I couldn't stop thinking about today. I was anxious to see where he would take me. It was 8:00 in the morning and I didn't want to get up yet. It was Sunday and I had to work the next morning.

I groaned and tossed and turned before throwing the covers off my bed and pressing my feet against the hard cold floor. I walked slowly into the bathroom, looking at the bags under my eyes.

I soon got out of the shower thinking about Mason and the day ahead of me, realizing this was the second time I was going out with Mason.

I didn't do anything to my hair and let my natural wavy hair down, I applied mascara and some foundation to cover the bags under my eyes, I finished off with a little lipstick. even though I would slowly rub the lipstick off without noticing. I put on a black pencil skirt and a short sleeve navy blue button up blouse. I wore flats since I didn't want to deal with the pain of walking in heels the entire time.

It was 2:00 and I was waiting for Mason to get here, still wondering how he had ever figured out where I lived. I was sitting on the couch, when I heard the car pull up outside, I got my purse and walked out. I didn't see Mason leaning on his car this time, so I assumed he was in the car. I approached the car and realized it wasn't Mason's car, it was an Audi, but it wasn't his. I slowly backed away and ran into my house locking the door behind me. I ran to the back door and checked if it was locked. I dialed Mason's number.

"Hello?" He answered.

"Where are you?" I asked, frantically.

"I'm almost there." He said.

"Why?" He asked.

"There was a car parked outside my house that looked like yours, and I went up to it but I realized it wasn't yours so I ran back inside, and then I called you."

"Did you lock the door?" He asked.

"No, I left it open for whoever it was to get in." I said, sarcastically.

"I'll be there as soon as I can, Avery."

"Ok."

"Don't open the door for anyone, Avery, I'll call you when I get there."

"Ok." As soon as I said 'ok', someone was trying to open the front door, I saw the doorknob rattle as if someone were trying to get in.

"What's that noise?" Mason asked, I hadn't realized he was still on the line.

"Someone is trying to open the door."

"Shit. Ok, I'm almost there. Don't hang up, Avery."

"But-"

"Don't hang up, Avery." He snarled.

"Fine. But hurry."

I couldn't hear anything until I heard a car door shut and then I realized he was outside.

I heard muffled voices outside but I didn't want to open the door. I heard yelling and then I didn't hear anything anymore.

"Avery?" I heard his voice on the other end.

"What?"

"We're leaving, don't forget to lock the door."

"But, the people outside."

"Come outside, we're leaving."

"Ok." I said, approaching the front door, I unlocked it and looked outside as I saw Mason leaning by his car like always and he was wearing his expensive suit like always.
