My mind was spinning in utter confusion. Somehow I managed to put on my coat, not trip in these heels, and make it into the car. If I wasn't so in shock, my mind would be blown at the ability I had discovered, especially since there is snow on the ground. I mean heels and I don't mix, but that's not what's on my mind right now.

Did I hear that right? Was Mrs. Ashwood really okay with me dating her son? Was she really onboard with me taking over the company? What the heck happened back there? Had she done a 180? How is it possible for her to have changed her mind so quick?

"Did I just agree to become the head of the company?" I asked. Colton nodded. We were both staring straight ahead, in shock of everything. We ignored our surroundings as they passed by.

"Did my dad just disagree about me playing soccer?" He asked. I grabbed his hand, forcing him to look at me. "What the actual fuck happened?"

"Life has definitely surprised us this time." I joked. He nodded, agreeing. I'm in shock at this horrible dinner actually morphed into a good one. Does Colton's mom approve of me now? I mean she didn't seem to hate me anymore. That's better then her attempting to break Colton and I up.

"We're almost at the Tyler residence." The driver said. Colton and I ignored the driver, too focused on the previous event.

"I can't believe my dad is being let go from the team." Colton stated. I smiled at him. This was news to him and I do not understand how this whole day has done a 180. "For as long as I can remember, soccer has been his life. I don't know what he is going to do now."

"I'm sure he'll find something." I replied. He sighed. I could tell he was confused and frustrated at the entire situation.

"He was my role model. I strived to be just like him. Would I end up like him too?" He asked. He seemed deep in thought, unaware that he was speaking aloud.

"No." I responded. His eyes widened.

"Did I ask that out loud?" He asked. I nodded, giggling. "Well it's true. Is soccer just a waste?"

"No, it helps pay for school. Plus, you are able to do something you love while working for something you'll do later on in life. If we don't end up working out, you'll have your business degree to run the company." I told him. His eyes narrowed at me.

"We will work out. I want you in my life Faith." He said. I blushed at his words. I was never going to become accustomed to his compliments.

"I love you Colton." I said to him.

"And I love you Faith." He said before leaning in to kiss me. I closed my eyes, acknowledging how my heart rate was always going to be fast whenever we kissed. I loved this man and I know I made the right decision by suggesting to take over the company.

Even though within the last hour or so I had no clue what I was going to do with my life, it finally felt like everything was clicking into place. I loved Colton and I could see myself with him for a long time, even forever. I want him to be happy and if that means I take over the company, then i'd be the best CEO possible.

The car arrived at the Tyler residence. We quickly got out, attempting to ignore the snow. It seemed even colder than before. We walked into the home, hearing everyone enjoying themselves. I took my coat off, hanging it in the hall closet. We walked into the living room and saw that a football game was on tv.

"Hey! You guys are back!" Zac shouted when he saw us. "How was it?"

"Weirdly good." Colton said, taking a seat on the couch with them. I decided against it.

"I'm going to change into jeans." I said. I wanted to put on some jeans and a sweater. I had enough of this expensive dress and heels.

I left the boys and made my way up the stairs. I found the room Colton and I were staying in. I changed into a pair of black ripped jeans and a maroon sweater. I took the bun out of my hair, watching my locks fall into curls. I then wiped off my cakey makeup, leaving my mascara only. I them slipped on a pair of black slip on Vans. I finally felt like myself again.
