[ I quickly let go of Vinnie's hand and prayed Leo wouldn't do anything stupid or hurtful. ]
"Oh um hey love", I said stuttering over my words trying to sound convincing and kissed his cheek, but he just stared at me and looked over to Vinnie.
"So Hacker, what was that little stunt you pulled in the cafeteria huh?." And at that moment everyone in the cafeteria had there phones out and murmuring. I then tried the best next thing and probably the stupidest thing because Leo has his hand formed into a fist and before Vinnie was about to answer Leo's question I got in between and felt my lip bleed. Leo just punched me and everyone saw in shock. Although it wasn't on purpose his temper went off and started yelling at me and me being me i started crying. It took me back to those hot summer nights and I fell but Vinnie caught me and audrey came to my side.Then everything just went into blur and I heard the teachers coming in and Vinnie yelling at Leo, but i couldn't make out what Leo was doing or Vinnie's words.

"So Hacker, what was that little stunt you pulled in the cafeteria huh?." Leo said coming in close on me. I was getting frustrated. I mean Y/N derserves someone better, how could she end up with this abusive boy and all the shit she went through last summer makes me wonder what would've happened if i were there, what if i were her shoulder to cry on, what if i was the one who made her smile, what if i kissed her and took her pain away, what if i was the one who could love her back and show her how amazing she is. But I got so wound up in my thoughts that Leo was about to punch me but Y/N got in between and she suffered the punch. Her lip was busted and Leo started yelling at her and she started crying and fell to the ground. Gladly, I caught her in time.
"hey you're gonna be okay", I said in a caring tone trying to calm her down.
The teachers came and just looked around in shock. Audrey came to Y/N's side. But I've had it with Leo's bullshit and Y/N probably going to be mad at me when she wakes up but I hope she realizes it's going to help her.
"LEO WHAT THE FUCK MAN, I MEAN HOW COULD YOU PUNCH YOUR OWN GIRLFRIEND"
"Hacker man just let it go it was a mistake"
"No man i won't, i guess you're used to it considering you abuse her and only care about yourself."
I went off on him and he didn't say anything but 'shut up'. After that both me and Leo were sent to the principals office.
"So Mr. Hunter and Hacker, care to explain?"

I woke up in the nurse's office and only had two periods left which were with Vinnie.
I walked into class late and all eyes were on me and let's just say it was very uncomfortable.
"ah Ms.Y/L/N take a seat and sorry about your lip but hopefully the bruise will fade", the teacher said with a smile.
i took a seat next to Vinnie and just decided to ignore him, but how could i and after what he did for me?
"hey Y/N you okay?"
"eh not really but i'll be okay"
"hey look", Vinnie said taking my hands and looking into my eyes. damn he was attractive.
"you don't always have your guard up, it's okay to let it down and i'm hoping i'll be that person, so what do you say to ice cream after my detention?
"woah hold up you got detention for what happened?"
"yeah, but don't sweat it, it's cool"
"no Vinnie it's not, but tell you what i'll pay for the ice cream"
"no way, you just got your lip busted and took that punch, so please let me invite you", he said with the world's most adorable puppy eyes."

Throughout the whole time we were flirting and i forgot about everything for a second. LIke my dad, my grandparents, Leo. It;s like Vinnie took that pain away.
