First Victim

I have to plan fast. I need to lure Mt. Lady out of her home, in Hero costume because I don't want people to think that I just killed a civilian. I should also make an entrance to the number one hero, All Might, as the vigilante Darkbright. I smiled maliciously as I pieced together my plan.

I marked my place to reveal myself to All Might, the street corner where he would have talked to Midoriya about One for All. Then I decided to make some bait to lure her out. I went back to my lair and put on the belt. I transformed into my alter ego, Darkbright. After testing out my quirks and tested out a couple of combos, I started to take the bait. I materialize the darkness in my lair into three humans, tied up and gagged. I took a picture with my camera and printed out the photo. On the back of the photo, I wrote a sentence: "Come alone as a hero. If you tell anyone about this I will kill them." and I wrote the coordinates of the rooftop of the building across the street from my lair.

I put the picture into an envelope and put it inside my inventory. I exited my lair and entered the shadows. As I traveled in the darkness, I pictured the way that Mt. Lady would scream in pain and I laughed. As I got near her apartment, I jumped out of the shadows and put the envelope in her home. I knocked on the door hard and slipped back in the shadows to wait. As I confirmed that she saw the letter, I retreated.

Later that afternoon.

I moved the three "hostages" onto that roof, I heard footsteps behind me. I smiled. As I waited for the footsteps to get closer, I stood up suddenly and turned around. I was right. Mt. Lady could not resist the possibility of getting more publicity. Any knowledgeable hero would not have come, as it would be too much of a risk, but she did. I looked at her as she stopped running.

"Let go of them, you villain!" She exclaimed as she pointed at me.

I chuckled darkly as I stopped enforcing the materialization of the three "hostages". Instantly they melt away and seeped into the floor. I could see the shock on her face as she realizes that she had been tricked. Before giving her a chance to react, I used my quirk again, as an invisible barrier made of light stood up, caging us in. She would not be able to use her gigantification.

I faced her at an angle, putting my left hand in front with a guarding hand and said, "Now, fake hero. Count up your sins!"

As I finished, I dashed toward her. Guarding with my left forearm and used my other hand to activate my quirk. I materialized spiked gauntlet made of shadows on my right hand. As she jabbed at me with her left hand, I stomped my orthodox front left foot and sidestepped to my right. As I did this, she could not react in time and her entire left side is open. I rammed my spiked right hand at her waist. The shadow spikes pierced her body on my left waist. I adrenaline skyrocketed as I saw her face as I punctured her body. I de-materializes my gauntlet as I jumped back. Blood splattered out of her waist and she almost collapsed. She looked at her wound and looked at me angrily.

"What, can't take an injury? Is this how 'Heroes' are nowadays? " I laughed maniacally as I experienced excitement. Pure excitement as her expression displayed pain. I dashed again. This time, I materialized a colt. I pretended that I was going to sweep her leg. As she guarded for the sweep I pulled out my pistol and emptied all eight rounds into her leg. She instantly collapsed.

I grinned behind my helmet. This was much easier than I expected. It seems like I wasted my quirk with the light barrier. As she tried to stand up, I created chains with the shadows to bound her up, and I dragged her into the shadows. I leaped in the shadows right after.

As I was near the street corner, I saw 2 figures. Izuku Midoriya and All Might. My excitement boosted up again. As I got near them, I leaped out of the shadows and slam the near-dead Mt. Lady on the ground. The two turned to me, shocked. All Might pushed Izuku behind his back and exclaimed "Watch out, Young Midoriya, there is a villain." and attempted to activate One for All for the 4th time that day. I winced, not wanting to hurt himself.

I slipped into the shadows and jumped out behind him, lightly tapped him on the shoulder. Upon impact, I pushed a strand of my energy inside of him to neutralized his attempt of activation before slipped back near Mt. Lady.

All Might stared at his hands in disbelief as pommeled Mt. Lady's head into the ground.

"Mt. Lady, nooooo!" Izuku screamed as he watched me smash the rookie fake hero's head to pieces. "Let go of her you villain!"

"Now, now. We shouldn't get hasty about classifications should we?" I said to the two in a calm voice. "She isn't a real hero, like All Might. She is someone who uses the title of "Hero" for personal gains. What she really wants is fame and money." I paused, before turning my head to All Might. "This society has too many people who satisfy their greed under the title "Hero". Heroes are not about profit. Being a hero is about helping people when they need help. True heroes like you, sir, are becoming more and more scarce."

"You are my idol, All Might. You are a True Hero. I will eliminate as many fake heroes as possible because we cannot let them dirty the title of hero." I looked back to Izuku. "My name is Darkbright. Evil HERO: Darkbright. Remember me, All might and Izu-- I mean little man."

As I finished i sink back into the shadows and left them to call the police.
