"Guess what, team?" you announced over the comms. You flew into the chair at one of the communications terminals, scooting into the desk and tugging on the headset. You adjusted the mic and the earpiece before scanning over the heat views and blueprints set up on the screen. There were three small multicolored dots representing your friends moving around the image, each one labeled with their respective code name.

"(Y/n)?!" several voices shouted through the headset.

"Bingo!" you exclaimed. Shadow maneuvered another chair over to your terminal to observe beside you. So much for the double cross. Not that you really minded. The rest of the room was empty; you could say what you wanted. "Commander Shads gave me the go ahead to run your comms!"

"Oh man," a staticky voice filled the terminal. You recognized it as Logan the Lion. He was one of the agents that had been working at the E.P.A. for a while. He had been one of your other supervisors while training, specializing in explosive weapons. "The little baby (a/t)'s finally going to the big league."

"Oh, please," a female voice retorted. Morgan the Wolf. Professional hacker and strategist. She was only four years your senior, and thus one of the closest to you, being the tightest as far as age went. "It's not like this is a huge job," she said sardonically. "We've all been dying for a little entertainment. Security is super lax here."

"Oh, so now you're complaining!?" This voice belonged to Storm the Hawk. Expert sniper and stealth agent. "It's like you want the place to be crawling with bogies."

"Couldn't really complain then," Morgan agreed. "At least then I'd have something to punch."

Rolling your eyes at the team's on-field banter, you finished scouring the various pages, then pulled up another tool, shifting the filter on the screen to look for centralized heat. Almost immediately, several new dots appeared on the screen, however they were a fair distance away from your friends.

"Werewolf, give me the rundown," you said. She snickered at your wording.

"This place is supposed to be a cover base for an illegal drugs dealer that doubles as an arms dealer. Goes by the name Griffin. We've been tracking shipments from this city, as well as surrounding cities back to this rundown office building. We know it's only a rest stop compared to their possible HQ, but there's still going to be intel on their business here." Morgan paused briefly, and you watched her dot - labeled by her code name Werewolf - stop for a moment before moving forward then turning right into a small room in the center of the building. "Our mission, get the intel, destroy the base."

You nodded, looking to Shadow as well. He only looked back at you, saying nothing, his red eyes encouraging you, despite his signature monotone expression.

"Right," you said aloud, looking back to the monitors. "I take it you're on destruction duty, then, Wolverine."

"Not what you'd imagine though, eh buddy?" Storm said to Logan. You could hear the lion gawking over the comm units.

"It's not a picnic for you either though, is it?" he taunted back. "You're basically only here as back up, useless without anybody to shoot."

    Storm just grumbled in response.

"Hey, guys, I'm plugged in," Morgan suddenly reported in. Her icon on the screen now showed a small loading bar, filling up as she downloaded the Griffin's database. "There's some weird stuff in here," she commented.

    "Define weird..." you said.

"There's definitely files for drugs, and weapons," the wolf started, "but the majority of these are actually coded files."
