Page 4 | My Golden Dawn

The Golden Dawn was a much different squad than our Bulls, mostly populated by nobles and often regarded as the best and strongest Magic Knights Squad.

As such, their base was far more luxurious and refined, it's royal-like sparkles charming Asta, who was not used to such an environment.

"Ooh, ahh! So sparkly! So shiny!" Asta's brain had gone into a frenzy due to the unfamiliarity and thus Zora had to restrain him with a leather leash to prevent him from running off and possibly damaging the base.

Zora sighed. "Jeez, if you break anything, we'll be held responsible too. If not for that I would've let you run wild."

"Yeah!" Noelle chimed in. "There's no teeling what you could do knowing how reckless you are!"

However, that was the least of concerns. Under her fragile composure lay her real thoughts and feelings.

"W-What the hell? Why is that so damn...cute!? He's l-like a a dog or something!" Noelle was forced to avert her eyes in order not to lose composure and break into another frenzy of blushing.

"Why were we even called here in the first place...?" Noelle asked. Earlier that day, after her conversation with Nero, she was suddenly summoned to the Golden Dawn's base alongside Asta and Zora but was never actually told why they, and them specifically, were supposed to be there.

"Oh!" Asta spoke up. "Apparently Captain Vanegance wanted to apologise to us in person after everything that's happened. He also wanted to give us something, too."

Asta was facing Noelle, looking at her doe-eyed with a dog like stance, which caused her to get really flustered and caused her face to turn red.

"I-I didn't ask you!" She shot a burst of water at Asta, knocking him over.

"BWAH! What was that for!?" Asta exclaimed as he tore off the leash.

Noelle hesitated. "I...er....- hmph!" She said before pouting.

Suddenly, a familiar voice called.

"Astaa! Noelle!"

The two looked up to see the short, adorable girl they all know as Mimosa Vermillion.

"Ah! Mimosa!" Asta called. "It's been a while, you been doing ok?"

"Y-Yeah!" She nervously exclaimed due to Asta being so close. "I've made a full recovery now!"

"That's great! Is Klaus-senpai here too?"

Mimosa sighed. "Unfortunately, he's suffered much worse injuries than I have, so he's still being taken care of."

"I see...that's a shame..."

Noelle glanced at the two, currently deep in conversation, and was obviously jealous of it. She wanted to have a nice chat with Asta, too.

She cleared her throat. "We should really get going now, we can't keep Vangeance waiting for long." Noelle lied as naturally as she breathed.
She couldn't care less about the Golden Dawn's captain at the moment, she wanted to keep Mimosa away from Asta as much as possible.

Noelle saw Mimosa as somewhat of a rival, as she got easily flustered around Asta and even outright told Noelle that she might have feelings for him.

"True." Asta replied. "Well then, we'll see you later, Mimosa!" He patted her on the head, which caused her to blush intensely.

"E-E-EXCUSE ME!?" Noelle screamed internally. "WHEN D-DID I GIVE YOU PERMISSION TO DO THAT!?"
Her mind was left in a frenzy after he plan had backfired.

"Y-Yeah..byee!" The flustered Mimosa waved them off, before sighing.

"I don't know how long I can keep this up for...Asta's just such a dreamboat. Constantly beaming and happy, and undescribably handsome...ahh, what should I do!? He's like some a star on the horizon begging for me to fly to it..."

"Or, I guess to put it more clearly..."

"He's my golden dawn...~"
