I was currently meeting my friends at our favorite café. They were talking about how cool and awesome this new game was. I wasn't really listening, but something they were talking about caught my attention.
"Did you hear about the new players?" I look up at Miri as she speaks. "Yeah, I heard they'll start going to our school tomorrow." Soo Jeong answers her. "What are you guys talking about?" I ask and they both turn to me.
"Oh, that's right, you haven't downloaded the game." Miri says sarcastically.
I was one of the few people that didn't get involved in this new game craze. Apparently, this game gives you dares and you have a specific amount of time to complete it. If you complete the dare, you get any amount of money that was given by the watchers.
I thought this game was absolute bull, so I didn't partake in it.
"Back to what I was saying, these players are different. They earned like a whole tone of money the first time they played." Miri cuts through my thoughts. "Anyways, why won't you play the game?" Soo Jeong asks.
I roll my eyes.
"I don't get it." I reply dryly. Miri scoffs. "Hun, you're just too pussy to play." She states bluntly. They both burst out in hysterical laughter. I shake my head.
They continue talking about their game, when I get a call. I grab my phone and answer.
"Hello?"
"Grandma wants you home."
My brother says into the phone. I start packing my stuff.
"Be there soon."
I abruptly end the call. "I gotta go, talk to you later?" I ask and my two friends dismiss me.
I walk out of the café and a cold breeze hits me. Suddenly, someone from around the corner grabs my bag ready to flee, but I don't let go of it. The man had a cloth covering his mouth, but I could distinctly see his eyes. They were doe-like and innocent. All the while, he was holding a phone, filming.
"Yah! Let it go!" The man continues to pull on it. I keep a steady grip, holding on for dear life. As he is busy looking at the recording I kick him in the crotch. He lets go of my bag and falls to the ground.
"Dumbass!" I yell at him and walk away. People were staring and some even filming. I puff out a breath or air before continuing my way home.
The things people would do for money.

I open the door to my home and was welcomed to my brother and grandma chilling on the couch, watching TV. I walk over to the staircase, ready to jump into my warm bed.
"Noona! You're famous!"
Sung Ji yells out for me. I groan in annoyance. I turn to them and Sung Ji points at the TV. I turn to the TV and see myself.
