Grace returned to work next morning with a beautiful glow on her face after last night, it's a thing she had not done for a long time. But as soon as she entered the FBI building she remembered her work and the dilemma she's facing.
She walked to her desk and then sat thinking, put her elbows on the desk and then put her head between her hands while she was thinking.
She tried to organize the facts in her mind, she now knows that she can't trust anyone inside the FBI, and depends only on Phoebe, who could help her a little. She sighed and then thought that Adrian have a spy inside the FBI, which might very much be Julian, he would know all of her moves and steps. Why not have a spy in Adrian's place then? She knows that Maria is not available, and for Isaac she knows very well that no matter how unsatisfied he is with Adrian's work, it is impossible for Isaac to betray him.
All she was concerned about now was how to get to know the person that Sidney told her about, Adrian's man man, Mr.Boss Man.
She looked up and saw her boss, David, heading to his office, and then decided to tell him the problem, perhaps he would help her, and she would try as much as possible to keep some details to herself.
She walked to David's office and knocked on the door.
David : Come in.
Grace : Good morning sir.
David : Grace! good morning! come on in.
Grace : Thank you sir.
David : How is work?
Grace : Actually that's why am here.
David : Okay. spell out.
Grace : I feel like am captivated.
David : About that case you work on? Adrian Dawson?
Grace : Yeah. I feel like he knows every step am taking. I really know he's guilty but yet i can't prove it. It drives me crazy.
David : Just relax. You need to organize your priorities and start from somewhere. Also you can't work alone. and btw about that 20 days thing to catch him, know that you got all the time you need okay.
Grace : Thank you sir i really needed that. But I really can't work with Julian. And i already have Sidney.
David : Don't forget! Sidney is just an addict woman, She's not an FBI Agent.
Meanwhile, Grace's phone rang, she took it out of her pocket, and looked at the caller's name.
Grace : Speak of the devil.
David : Take it.
Grace answered and then spoke to Sidney in the presence of her boss.
Grace : Yes.
Sidney : He called.
Grace : Mr. boss man?
Sidney : Yes. He got new stuff and he wants to see me in an hour.
Grace suddenly stood up and looked at David with a victory smile on her face.
Grace : Great. send me the location and i'll be right there.
Sidney : But you promise nothing will happen to me.
Grace : I promise. Just do it.
Grace ended the call and then looked at David.
Grace : Now i need to go. Sidney is meeting someone that i believe is too close to Adrian.
David : Excellent. Now take a team with you.
Grace : NO Sir. No one need to know about this. If the man knew he'll run away.
David : Grace I'm not gonna teach you your job. TAKE A TEAM. Just go under-covered or whatever you see and do the job. I want that man in my office by noon.
When Grace was getting out, Julian was entering the office seeing the hurry Grace was in. And when she got out, he turned to David.
Julian : What's going on sir.
David told him about it all and then ordered him to get ready and to go out with Grace and the team.
The team got ready and drove in their cars while Grace and Julian were in his car. Grace didn't hide her anger about Julian's presence with her, but she made sure to never let him use his phone during the mission to make sure he would not call the man or Adrian to tell him what was going on, so they would be warned.
The team reached the spot and parked their cars away from the alley where Sidney was now standing and looking around. Sidney looked towards Grace and saw her from afar, but she did not show any reaction.
Grace kept watching from afar, and Julian appeared to be on standby while holding his weapon. More than half an hour has passed since the deadline.
Julian : Do you think the man is coming?
Grace would have liked to punched him in his face, feeling that his question was only to offend her, but she answered him as she set her eyes on Sidney.
Grace : Maybe someone told him not to.
Julian : You think that girl did.
Grace : I don't know anything.
Grace looked closely as she saw Sidney talking on her phone, then she ended the call and started walking towards them.
Julian : What's going on?
Grace : Shut up.
He looked at her in wonder. Then Sidney got there.
Grace : What happened.
Sidney : He called and canceled.
Grace : Shit. I knew it.
Grace turned to Julian and then looked at him with a meaningful look, but he did not understand it.
Julian : What?
She turned to Sidney again.
Grace : Let me see his number.
Sidney : It's unknown number, a phone booth or something.
Grace : Great. were'e just back at the zero point. anyways Sidney Thanks. If he called you again just let me know.
Sidney : Okay.
The team prepared to leave and they got in the cars and drove back to the FBI unit.
