I have a head canon that Koji doesn't wear black and Kouichi doesn't wear white, because they feel like they would burn if they touched that color of clothing.
Kouichi: hey dude, could I borrow a sweatshirt?
Koji: sure *throws him a white sweatshirt without thinking*
Kouichi: *while diving out of the way* AAHHHHHH!!!!! GET THAT CURSED COLOR AWAY FROM ME!!!!!
Koji: CRAP!!!!!!!!! *Dives for the sweatshirt right before it lands on Kouichi; falls on Kouichi after diving*
Kouichi: *squished under Koji* OW!!!!
Koji: *holding up the sweatshirt* SAFE!
