For Althea Good, life on the Outer Banks is pretty damn great.
She's the daughter of dearly deceased Figure Eight alumni, but she's far from a Kook princess. In a lot of ways, she's found her footing in two worlds, and she wouldn't have it any other way. Her sister Alex, however... Well, that's another story.

After the hurricane that took their home and their parents, Thea and Alex were uprooted from their cushy life on the Carolina mainland and sent to live with their aunt out on the Cut — that is, the south side working class community of the Outer Banks islands.
But that was eight years ago.
Nowadays, Thea has made herself a home among the likes of John B. Routledge, JJ Maybank, Pope Heyward, and Kiara Carrera. She's as tried and true as any lifelong Pogue, and she's happy to be a member of their ranks. But hey, who could blame her if she also crashed a few Kook keggers?
Alex, on the other hand, clung to her parents' Kook roots and made her mark as a proper debutante on the north side of the islands by ingratiating herself with families like the Cameron's and the Thornton's. But even a would-be Kook princess like Alexandra Good has her secrets.

When John B ropes the Pogues into a treasure hunt of island legend, Thea's life is sent into a tailspin as she tries to navigate a fracturing family and still sail through the rough seas of the crew's misadventures.
Of course, matters are only complicated more when, in the midst of the chaos, Thea breaks the Pogues' most scared rule: no Pogue-on-Pogue macking!
