Chapter 5

Jirou's POV:

It had been about three months since I had revealed to Kami that I was the traitor and had told them I needed help being saved. I had run into Kami, Yaomomo, and Mina while I was patrolling for the League. They knew it was me but didn't tell the authorities. I was going on my patrol and saw Yaomomo and Mina. They dragged me into an alley and began to speak.

"Jirou, we need your help. Seriously," Mina said, a stern look on her face. Mina was never like this, so something was clearly wrong. I was curious why Kami wasn't with them, but I continued to listen to them.

"Why would I help you? I am a villain after all. I shouldn't even be interacting with you," I stated coldly. Why would they need my help?

"Jirou, it's Kami. Some other villains took him. You have to help us..." Yaomomo said, trailing off. That perked my interest. Kami was missing..?

"And why should I help? It's been months, you act like I have to help you." I gave a small smirk, but in reality, I wanted to help immediately. I couldn't bear to see Kami hurt and not with his friends and family.

"Come on, Jirou. He's gonna die without our help. Please. None of us can lose him. I can't lose him..." Yaomomo seemed so desperate. Why would she care, unless..?

"You never cared about him this much. Seems like you guys are dating or something. I'm correct, aren't I? You're dating Sparky?" I really hoped for her to say no. I still loved him. I always had. That's why he was never hurt by the League, I begged for them to leave him alone.

"I would never do that to you, Jirou. I know how much you love him, Kaminari. You're my best friend, Jirou. I would never do anything to hurt you. Please, help us save him." She seemed so genuine, and I wanted to say yes. I told the League I wouldn't save him if he wasn't taken by the League.

"I can't help you. I'm sorry. Please save Sparky." I turned away from them and began to walk away. If I helped them, my family would get hurt.

"We'll make sure the League doesn't know you saved him. Please, just save Kami, Jirou. Please. I already lost you, I can't lose Kami too..." Mina said, her voice breaking. I turned back around.

"If the League finds out I'm helping you, it's game over for me. But for Sparky, I have to risk it all to save him. I'll do it," I said. I couldn't let Sparky die. He meant too much to me.

I was in my old hero outfit. It made me sad to pretend to be a hero, but I was saving Sparky. That's what mattered most. I had located him and the heroes were handling the fighting. Somehow, I made it to Sparky without anyone catching me. I guess the villain training of hiding in the shadows really helped me here.

"Kyou..? You're in your old hero outfit and saving me..." Sparky said, a clear look of shock on his face. I untied his restraints and stepped back from him quickly.

"No time to talk, we have to get you out of here. Your classmates are waiting for you," I said, grabbing his wrist and quickly making it outside. All of his classmates were outside and they all had a big group hug, except Bakugou. I went to change and I changed quickly. I came back out, gave a soft smile, and started walking away.

"Oi, Weird Ears. I need to talk to you," Bakugou hollered. I turned around and just rolled my eyes. I turned again, but Bakugou grabbed my wrist and dragged me into an alleyway.

"What do you want, Bakugou? I already got you guys Sparky back, I need to go. There's nothing else you need from me," I say, trying to leave again. He, obviously, doesn't let me leave.

"What you said in the video you sent to Dunce Face, did you mean it?! Do you still wanna be a hero?" He seemed angry, did he actually care about me?

"Yeah, I did. But I'm already a villain, there's no way I can be a hero anymore." I meant that, genuinely. I want to be a hero, but a villain can't be a hero.

"Just stay with us, Weird Ears. Everyone wants you to come back, even Aizawa. Even I do, you dumbass. Just come back."

"Don't you see?! I can't come back whether I want to or not!" I yelled at him. "I'm leaving now." I walked away from Bakugou. Sparky ran up to me as I was walking away, trying to head back to the League.

"Kyou, come back. Let's become the heroes Chargebolt and Earphone Jack! Please, Kyou..." Sparky said, a pleading look on his face.

"I can't, Sparky... If I could, I would. If I went back, the League would hurt you guys and my family. I'm sorry," I said, my heart absolutely crushed. I wanted to be with him, but I couldn't.

Before he could speak again, my legs just started moving. I ran into a building and ran up the stairs. Soon enough, I had made it to the top of the building and was standing along the edge. I could end my pain, stop having work with the League and Sparky and everyone would be safe.

"Jirou, please don't do this. Come on... I love you. Don't leave me, I can't lose you entirely this time." His voice cracked, and I could hear him beginning to sob.

"I'm sorry, Sparky. But, I love you too. Forever and always, my heart belongs to you. Please take care of my family and our friends." I say before jumping. I fell and then everything went black.
