When I Betrayed Him

Chapter 4

Denki's POV:

My phone dinged in the middle of Aizawa lecturing us. I looked down at my phone to see who texted.

       Attachment: 1 Video from Kyou🎵💜

A wave of shock went through my body(not literally). Why would she send me a video? She's a villain, why would she ever need to contact him? Unless she was in trouble. No. She can't be. I raised my hand because everyone in 1A needed to see this.

"This better be important, Kaminari. I'm in the middle of teaching," Aizawa said, clearly exhausted.

"I got a video message from Kyou! I don't know why, but I thought everyone in 1A deserved to see it!" I exclaimed. Gasps were heard throughout the room.

"I thought I told all of you to block her. She could be in trouble though, she never was the type to do things without giving an explanation. And that other video she signaled for help by using our code word." He walked over to my desk, putting his hand out so he could project Jirou's message. I unlocked my phone and handed it to him. He started playing the message.

"Hey guys, it's me again. I hope one of you receives this, but if not, I guess this is for my own closure. Yeah, I'm the traitor. I joined the League before I started at UA. My parents owed them some sort of debt for a while. I ended up being the one to repay it. The League thought I had a useful quirk, so they kidnapped my parents. They told me to try out for UA. If I didn't get in, my parents would be killed. I got into UA and they still had my parents. They told me if I gave them inside information, my parents would be safe. I told them, yes, and that was before I met any of you. Yaomomo, Mina, I'm so sorry. You guys were my best friends. You still are, and I wish I could see you again. Kami..." She had a small pause. What would she have to say to me..? "Kami, I'm so sorry. If I had known you, any of you, before I made the deal, I never would've taken it. I-" She stopped talking for a second, it seemed like someone had knocked on her door.

"Kyoka! Tomura needs you! What are you doing?" That Toga asked, continuing to knock on the door.

"Yeah, I'll be out in a second..! I'm in my bathroom, I just got out of the shower!" She had said to Toga.

"Oh, okay! I'll tell Tomura, just don't take long! I think you're getting to see them unless you make him wait too long. You know he doesn't like waiting!" Her voice trailed off and we couldn't hear Toga anymore.

"Kami, I, I love you. You deserve to know, especially if I never get to see you again. If you guys see me, I'll leave you alone. I could never hurt you guys. Any of you. If you can track this to try and save me, do it. I want to be a hero alongside you guys, though I doubt it could happen anymore. I have to go. I miss you all so much. Bye guys..." Her video ended. I was in shock. She loved me..?
        "Kyou... I miss you so so much, I want you to come back. Kyou, I love you too..." I whispered, tears slipping down my cheek. I looked at Jirou's seat and gave a sad glance. I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked over to see Mina's sad face.
"Denki, I'm so sorry... We all miss Jirou, even Bakugou does," Mina said with a sad face. I looked over at Bakugou and saw he did seem a little bit sad.
"She loved me, Mina... She still does, but she's a villain now. We can't be together, but is it bad that I want to see her again..?"
"Denki, it's okay. It hasn't been that long since you lost her, it's gonna take time to put this in the past. Mr. Aizawa said he's dismissing class early. He knows everyone needs a bit of time, so we're all heading back to the dorms now." She gave me a smile and left along with everyone else.
I walked back to the dorm by myself. I wanted to stay in my room and maybe say something in response, not that she'd ever hear it anyway. I walked into my room without saying a word to anyone else. I locked my door and began to record myself.
"Hey, Kyou. I miss you so much. You'd probably just be laughing at me right now, but I really do miss you. Finding out you were the traitor was the biggest shock ever. You looked out for everyone and never cared what anyone else said. I love you too. You were my world. I will reunite with you. One day. I promise, Kyou. Goodbye for now, Kyou." I ended my video. I just kept it in my camera roll. That gave me a little bit of closure after losing Jirou.
