Saving a life

A/N Okay, so I'm rewriting the chapters from the original book, but only some parts, so I apologize for the switches that might occur in writing styles.

"JAY!"

The head of the ginger poked through the doorway, "Yeah?" Cobalt blue met Crimson as the blue ninja locked eyes with the one who had called for him, panic spread through his body when he saw the smirk on the other's face. But he didn't have time to move away before...

Splash!

He was drenched in ice-cold water. Shadow held himself up with the support of the wall as he held his stomach, laughing hysterically.

The master of lightning waved his arms, trying to dry them at least a little and soon joined the other with laughing. "Oh god. You got me good. I was not expecting that one."

Shadow used the sleeve of his hoodie to wipe away remaining tears as his laughter faded into a chuckle, "It's just too bad you can't get back on me."

Jay smirked, "Oh I will. Someday."

Shadow then saw the mischievous glint in Jay's eyes, "Shit!" and started running away.

"Get back here!" Jay chased after the fire master.

"No way!"

The two pun-loving ninjas chased after each other out onto the upper deck where the other ninjas were hanging out.

The two ran all around the deck until Jay threw a water balloon in Shadow's direction. But Shadow ducked and it ended up hitting Kai in the face.

Everyone gasped and Jay froze in fear, "Oh shit."

Kai gave Jay a death glare and started walking towards him with clenched fists. And unlike the others, the ginger wasn't holding back a laugh.

The brunet stopped about half a meter in front of the blue ninja and lifted his fist. Jay closed his eyes, then.....

Splash!

"Wait, what?!" Jay asked, confused and even more soaking wet. The others couldn't hold back their laughter anymore, they had seen the water balloon behind Kai's back and therefore knew what he was going to do.

It all ended up turning into a water balloon war that lasted all morning and a little past lunch as well. And to everyone's surprise, Wu had even joined in a bit later.

They had by then all divided into teams.

There were Team masters which consisted of Lloyd and Wu.

Team musketeers which consisted of Zane, Cole, and Jay.

And Team Smith which consisted of Kai, Nya, and Shadow.

In the end, Team Smith won thanks to their amazing teamwork and Shadow's amazing ninja senses.

Team masters came second thanks to Wu's wisdom and experience and Lloyd's ninja skills.

Much to Team musketeers annoyance.

After a quick lunch, they all helped out with cleaning up the war zone. Nya got rid of the water while Kai and Shadow burned the balloon pieces that were scattered all over the deck. The others used spinjitzu to then clean up the ashes.

Wu had to leave for a trip that day and went off about an hour before the alarm rang in the bounty.

They all go into their ninja suits, except for Shadow who had refused to have one. He just couldn't stand the thought of wearing one, at least not design that Wu had suggested for him. If he was going to wear one, then he was going to design it himself. But he had not come up with a design yet, so he went with a plain black tank top, black ripped jeans, and a pair of black sneakers.
