Things start to go down

Shadow didn't take long to get back to the bounty. Using Airjitzu to get up onto the deck he landed without making a sound.

"Where were you?"

The edgy teen turned around towards his brother and winked, trying to hide the blush on his face as he remembered what happened in the club, "A secret."

Kai smiled and shook his head, "You're unbelievable."

"Thanks," Shadow smirked.

Kai walked over to the railing and Shadow followed, stopping next to his brown-haired twin.

"What was it you wanted to talk to me about?"

Kai turned his head to Shadow, "I just said I wanted to talk to you."

Shadow chuckled, "Kai. I'm not an idiot. I know you had something important in mind. You would never call me home and say you want to talk, like that, if you didn't have something on your mind that you wanted to talk to me about."

Kai let out a sigh, "Yeah, you caught me. I had something in mind."

"Then what is it?"

Kai turned to face the city and his head lowered slightly, "It's about Lloyd."

Shadow's smirk fell, "What about Lloyd?"

Kai blushed and looked nervous, "Well.....It's that....I....umm.....It's just that....."

The red ninja tried to collect himself. "I want to ask Lloyd out on a date!" Kai said almost too loud.

Shadow smiled a little, "Yeah, so~? I don't see why that's such a big deal that you had to call me here."

Kai looked at Shadow, surprise written on his face, "So, you're not mad?"

"Why the hell would I be mad? I think it's a great idea."

"I thought you'd be mad that I wanted to spend time with him instead of you."

"Kai. In my opinion, you've spent too much time with me. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy hanging out with you, but you hang out with me so much that you don't spend much time with the others, and Lloyd is your boyfriend for crying out loud. So I think it's great that you want to spend more time with him. I've been planning on doing some solo training and patrols anyway so it'll be good for both of us."

Kai smiled and hugged his brother, much to Shadow's surprise.

Usually, neither Kai or Shadow was much for hugs but some times they just couldn't help themselves. And usually, Shadow enjoyed hugs from Kai.

But this time.....something felt off.....

It had nothing to do with Kai, he seemed like his usual hotheaded self.

No, something was off with Shadow.

He couldn't pinpoint what exactly, just that something wasn't right.

He ignored it and hugged his brother back, that way Kai wouldn't get worried.

The two fire masters let go of the hug and smiled at each other, even though Shadow's smile was a bit forced.

"You should get some sleep, Kai. You need your energy if you're going to ask Lloyd out tomorrow."

The red ninja blushed, "Oh, right, tomorrow...." Letting out a sigh Kai rubbed the back of his head, "Do I have to do it tomorrow though, I mean....can't it wait a few days?"

Shadow shook his head, "Nope. You're asking him tomorrow or I'll do it for you."

"Okay, fine! I'll do it tomorrow." Kai sighed again, "Guess I should get some rest then. See you tomorrow."
