weeks passed and iwa visited his friend everyday. he watched Oikawa healing and become more and more the person he knew. iwa didn't knock today,the door was already halfway open. "Iwa-chan" oikawa sounded happy to see his friend and he smiled bright. the elderly lady was helping him with he drip and iwa scanned the room. "I can leave today" he days grinning and changed his shirt. "want me to walk you home?" the lady left the room and Oikawa sat back down. "oh,its okay you don't have to" the taller one looked down as his friend sat down next to him. "where's your apartment? are your parents picking you up?" Oikawa shook his head. "they're not in Japan" with the look of pure shook iwa turned his head. "what do you mean by that?" his friend made a clicking sound with his tongue. "I told you,i don't want to talk about it" Oikawa sounded annoyed and iwa placed a hand on his shoulders. "you have to eventually. come on,I'll walk you home and then we'll talk" he squeezed the shoulder of the brown haired boy a bit and his friend flinched under the pressure. "i don't have a home" he mumbled quietly and watched his friends eyes widen. no home? how was that even possible? iwazumi tried to organize his thoughts before answering but his brain didn't seem to be on his side. "huh?"was all he got out and Oikawa giggled about the reaction. "I don't have an apartment. i used to live in a dorm with the other teammates" he got up and walked over to the bathroom to collect his stuff. iwazumi was even more confused than before,but he decided to let Oikawa dominate the conversation. "you can live with me" the words came out of his mouth without him intending to. he just said it. the younger one turned around in disbelief. "are you sure about that?" iwa had never seen Oikawa in such seriousness and he knew he was deep down I'm shit if he doesn't even make jokes,so he nodded. "yes" he got up and grabbed Oikawa's bag after he put the rest of his stuff in. they left the hospital and walked over to iwa's apartment. it had been snowing for weeks now and they walked through a thick layer of snow. "you're freezing" iwazumi determined and watched his friend shaking. they were only 2 minutes away and they hurried a bit. iwa unlocked his door quickly and pushed Oikawa in. "wow" the taller one admired the apartment,walked around and looked into every room. iwa put down the bag in his room and walked over in the kitchen where he found Oikawa staring out the window. "hey,you're hungry?" oikawa turned around and nodded excited. "sit,I'll cook something" the shorter one cooked quick,rice and vegetable nothing special but Oikawa acted like he was a 5 star chef. the boys sat down on the couch and iwa turned on a volleyball game. they sat in silent and finished their food. out of the corner of his eye iwa watched Oikawa yawning and after a while he tossed away. his head fell over and he leaned against Iwa's shoulder. even though it probably wasn't intentional the older one's body tensed up and he thought about waking his friend up but he decided not to. he still got medicine which made him pretty tired and he needed the rest. iwazumi stayed in that position for around 2 hours before he slowly moved up and laid Oikawa's head down on the couch. he walked over to his room to grab a pillow and a blanket and returned to his sleeping friend. slowly and carefully he lifted Oikawa's head and positioned the pillow under his head before laying it down again. he tucked him in and turned off the tv before walking over to his room. since it was almost Christmas he had 2 weeks off of his job,so he sat down on his bed and started to read. usually iwa wasn't a reader but in the past weeks he had learned to love it. he was currently reading a book about forbidden love and it practically absorbed him,so he didn't even realize when it became night.
