My Stepsisters my best friend

Chapter 1

"Skylaaaaaa" my sister squealed

"What" I grunted

"Get up, your Daddy's is here"

"My Dad?"

"Yes, Mummy and him want to talk to you"

"Why?"

"I'm only 6, I don't know everything"

I relied with a grunt before climbing out of bed as my half sister ran down the stairs. I pulled on my top I was wearing the day before and skinny jeans, I brushed my hair, pulling it into a messy bun and applying light makeup before heading to the bathroom.

It wasn't long before I was ready, I walked down the stairs in our small house and into the kitchen, my Mum and my Dad were sitting at the table. I never thought I would see them both in the same room together without screaming at each other but I guess I was wrong.

My Dad stood up and walked over to me and pulled me into an awkward hug. "Skyla" he said ruffling my hair. he sat back down gesturing for me to sit down to.

"Sweetie, I have some news" my mum started "Derek has got a new job which will earn him a lot more money in Manchester" Derek was Mums husband and my half sisters Dad.

"But that's the other end of the country I don't want to move that far what about all my friends and school" I said

"Look, we don't think the move is right for you so you are going to stay here"

"But I'm only 15 I can't stay in a house all alone"

"Well your not going to, you are going to move in with your Dad and his fiancé" I don't know wether I was more shocked Dad had a fiancé or that I was moving in with him. My Dad could obviously tell I was shocked.

"It's okay, I should have told you but I don't really ever see you and when I do I can never quite bring myself to tell you, she's lovely and she has a daughter the same age as you"

"But what about Annie?"

"Well Annie's only little she will make other friends, the move won't effect her as much" my Mum said tying to reassure me.

"When do I move?"

"As soon as possible" my Dad said.

"How far away is your new house then"

"About 30 minute walk from your school, my fiancés daughter is going to be transferring there after the summer."

"I'm going to go pack"

"I will be back to pick you up in two hours, you can bring as much as you have packed then and then we will come back for the rest tomorrow." he stood up and walked out. I went upstairs to start packing.

Annie knocked at my door.

"Knock knock anyone one in" she said

"Come in" I say, she came running in and jumped in my bed whilst I was packing my cloths

"Why do you have to move?" she asked

"Because your moving to and I can't go that far away with school and things, my life is here" I say

"But so is mine"

I pulled her into a hug. "I will miss you" she says

"I will miss you too"

I had just finished packing everything I needed when the doorbell went. My Dad was here.
