"I still haven't gotten use to you and these pregnancy hormones'." Chyna joked causing us both to share a laugh.

I honestly wasn't sure if it were my hormones' kicking in or  just my shitty attitude towards men as of late doing all the work. "Sorry." I said taking my seat once again on the sofa.

"It's not me you should be apologizing to." She said glancing toward the door from which I just came.

"What? They were being loud." I said not feeling the need to apologize to the two men who had been rumbling outside of my door this late at night.

"They're moving in. Jeez! What do you expect? For them to tip toe the furniture in." She said cocking her head to the side.

"No. They couldn't move in at a decent hour?" I said not willing to admit I could have been a tad bit nicer.

"Where they black?" She countered.

"Yeah. so." I said taking my cup of warm tea into my hands.

"Now you know damn well black people don't move into the hood in the day time. Don't need everybody seeing what all we got." She joked causing me to spit some of the tea I had just sipped out.

"Now first of all this ain't the hood." I said drawing a circle with my index finger. I lived in a suburban area of Stone Mountain.

"Hood ... neighborhood. What's the difference." She giggled. I smiled too realizing that she did have a point. Growing up when ever we moved it seemed to always start late in the evening. My mother didn't trust anybody. And not much had changed about her since then. I kinda wish I was more like her in that way.

"I'll apologize tomorrow." I said not wanting to start off on the wrong foot with my new neighbor. I had only been here for a couple of months and had gotten along with all of my neighbors thus far. Made no sense to create a potential enemy where I didn't need one.

"I support that decision 100%" Chyna said. "You used to be nice once upon a time." She said before placing a glass of red wine to her full lips.

"I know. I knowww." I admitted realizing that I had managed to turn into a Pitbull in a skirt in a matter of weeks.

"Was he cute?" Chyna asked catching me off guard. The property manager was kind enough to alert existing tenants when there was someone new moving in. I knew it was a single male moving above me. But that was all.

"He was alright." I said hunching my shoulders completely down playing the level of fine my new neighbor actually was.

I had planned to tear into them more than I had but all those plans quickly retreated to the back of my brain as soon as I locked eyes with the dark chocolate man who seemed to be doing all of the talking.

"Coming from you ... that means he's fine." She said peaking at me over her raised glass.

"Girl I wasn't checking for that nigga like that." I said hoping she would drop the subject because the more I thought about the mystery man the more intrigued I became.

"Why not sis? Pregnancy don't stop shit!" She said playfully twerking in her seat. I joined her laughter. Chyna always had a way of brightening my day. Which is why I loved her soo much.

"I'm six months pregnant." I said placing my tea on the coffee table and wrapping my arms around my small protruding belly. "You think I'm checking for niggas like that?" I quizzed wondering if she had lost her damn mind. I knew that the wine in her hand was not that strong.

"No but if you wanted to all I'm saying is that there is nothing wrong with it." She said with a shrug. "We all need somebody." She added leaving a sour taste in my mouth because I already knew where she was headed with this conversation. "You heard from Roger?" She asked causing me to roll my eyes wildly.
