"That's not art," she said in her usual snappy way and handed me a cup of coffee. "That's a doodle."
"I don't care for your opinion," I said, putting away my palette and brushes. "What do you know of art anyway?"
"I know more than you, obviously." Folding her hands over her chest, she tilted her head to the side. "If that's any indication. It makes no sense. What's it supposed to be?
"This is how I see our life together – a mess but beautiful."
