"...And that is why Jennifer Lawrence's performance made Katniss Everdeen more appealing as a character." I said with such vigor, and couldn't help but blush as Shawn laughed.

He laughed without a care of being heard, covering his mouth with a hand as he drove through the rows of houses decorated in skeletons, and carved pumpkins, each preparing to welcome hoards of trick-or-treaters.

I smiled, butterflies formed in my stomach as I saw his care-free face, it only made me realize how fleeting these moments were, I almost wish it was something that could be collected in a jar and be kept on a shelf.

I had spent my sweet time studying the features of his face as we watched the stars on the end of my truck, relishing in the sweet but sticky feeling after having had sex. It took me back toll the nights I had spent with him, our first date at a closed carousel museum, the night I let him touch me after he thought me how to swim and with a dolphin no-less.

I kissed the curve of his chest, I massaged his sun-kissed broad shoulders and his muscled back, which was starring tiny little freckles. I grazed the scar he had gotten from the night we met, as he kissed were my collarbone and shoulder met. My fingers caressed his lightly dusted abs, and the beautiful large tattoo of a landing sparrow, which he sported on his left ribcage. He told the story of how he got the long scar on his side, it was his fathers birthday he was playing outside, his father had left out a sharp knife as they were grilling meat, and he ran right into the grill ready to seat down that cake.

He massaged my legs with lotion as I read to him a book, and even after side-commenting and my irritation of him giving logical solutions to my romance book, he begged me to continue as my voice 'soothed him.' I found that amusing but carried on to read the story, one hand holding the book as the other traced the daisy he had tattooed on his shoulder.

The music had stopped halfway through, ending with Shawn's recorded voice saying, 'happy 18th birthday, Dusk. I love you, baby.' I couldn't help but tease him as he pulled out the mixtape from the boombox. He handed me the tape, and I could feel myself melting to a puddle of goo right then and there.

I smiled at the moment, as I looked down at the tape I held in my hand. The words 'Dawn 4-ever' written in cursive on the mix-tape, a faint smiled graced my lips knowing well that this was now one of my most prized possessions. I could see it, neatly placed next to my one-eyed rabbit and the beautiful engraved monocle Grace had gifted me.

"Your mom's home." Shawn's voice pulled my eyes towards the driveway of my home. Mom's white crossover parked next to Shawn's classic black muscle car, it was then I frowned.

"Is antique our style?" I asked, referring to the truck and his car. He laughed once again shrugging as he parked the truck, "It's your style, and believe me it fits you, grandpa."

My mouth dropped as I smacked his shoulder, "Grandpa? Oh, that's a good one Mr. Sex on Legs!"

"That wasn't as low of a blow as you would think, I'm happy to say I take pride and consider myself to be Sex on Legs as long as you believe I am." He retired smugly, leaning closer and trapping me between the door and his large shadowing body.
