(Another note: Little one or young one has been used in this chapter to call someone young than the rest. Not because they are children for some cases but just because they are youngest fully grown person.)

I observed him from the distance as he fiddled with gems and stones. Stuff that seemed eerie for someone with little knowledge like myself. He worked vigorously to get down his ideas and plans, scrapping stone against a slab on thin stone to make doodle down what ideas of something great.

I built up the courage to got up closer to him, understand why the other began to dislike him so much. He looked content as he made stuff and thought endlessly about things I couldn't begin to wrap my head around.

He never things not caring what other thought about him stay in his sleeping shared room for nights. He didn't go hunting for food, or just for a stroll through to see the plants or the life that didn't have live long lives.

I only visited him occasionally when see what he was up too and give him things I find on my nightly strolls. It always seemed that it made him smile. I didn't know if it was because someone wanted to know what he was up to or if I made him happy. I was incredibly bad at conversation and very bad at understanding what I was afraid of, believing life right now was perfect and it could never change if we live happily as a community in the caves and shadows. We weren't anything special, just like human but lived increasingly long lives and never being able to walk in the light from the sky.

"Would you like to understand what I am working on?" He was looked over at me, calmly. He were eyes filled with curiosity.

I nodded shyly and silently, crept over and looked at his work. It was all designed a mask looking things with notes scattered around. I was lost as much as I tried, I didn't understand.

"Kars, It would be nice to understand everything that going on" I looked away shyly. "a mask, that? Um... Gives us power? How? Why? Why would we want that? Everything is fine as it is. So why change the way life is? You know, I saw one of those flying creatures in a stick home. There were little one. 4 of them and they slept under the bigger one. It was nice to see. The bigger one had a feathers but the smaller ones didn't."

"curious little one aren't you." he extended his pointing fingers into my rosy cheek with a small smile across his lips. I giggled and poked his nose, thinking it was funny. "You are too young to understand but I am glad you have an interest."

"too young? I'm only 3287 moons (9 years) younger than you?" I huffed, crossing my arms and making a weird face. He pets my head. "I'm not over a 100 yet like you but almost."

"Almost a 100 and you don't know about the world around."

"Because The other don't see the need to explore and expland. Imagine if we could travel and see all this world can offer, we'd be less bored."

"In all of the time in the world, we seem to only stick to one place, claiming it as home but we share the same water as the humans and other animals leading us to face that issue 473 moons ago. Something was wrong with river water." Kars reminded me when most of the young ones were incredibly sick and those incredibly old to become incredibly sick. I felt vomiting and many little one's died. And Manage to get free it because of Kars and cleave idea of boiling the water, waiting for it cool down so others could drink it it safely.

"And I'm thankful that you did, because without your idea, Me and the those that survived would of died. However, we'd been drinking the same water ever since the first of us. What changed." I blinked confused on how we could of almost end up losing to water.
