Ella seemed so interested in quiet one. The red head didn't take much but even then they were over welcoming their stay. I felt as they were testing my kindness, seeing if I'd give up easily and allow the stay longer.
"Ella, a moment." I waved across the room for her, motioning her to follow me as I dipped out of the living room. She followed with a concerned look on her face.
"What do you need?" She asked, hopping and skipping along the wall to catch up with me.
"Don't get attached to them." I said, hearing her steps stop abruptly. "They aren't staying here."
"But they are our guest. It's only proper if we treat them well. Even if they are only here to day but at least have so customs."
"You bathed them." I raised my voice, annoyed that she as shown them. I didn't want them get comfortable, believing those that live here are easily pushed over. Ella was so naive, in a bad way, easily believing words from those above her without doubt. She trusted too easily and that is how she ended up her.
"They stick badly. Would you rather have 10 hungry us completely about the smell came from them. I told myself to do it to avoid the awkwardness of you having to explain to them why we don't like the smell.
You should be thank me. I did you a favour and stopped a massive issues from happening.""I didn't asked you to be welcoming."
"But it's only polite, after all you seem friendly enough with one of them. Enough I say consider a friend."
"You don't get it. Don't help them, don't be welcoming and inviting. Just do what I ask of you before you get hurt."
"If any is getting hurt it's your feelings? Are you feeling left out. Lady (y/n) you wanted attention you should of asked." She stepped close to me with the most sweetest smile and hugged me, hoping it would do something to help the problem. It seemed as if she was mocking me, doing that sweetness thing to get me to agree. Her tone or at least her under tone was to be a mockery of my pride.
I flung her into the wall, glaring at her. "Stay in your place, Ella, before I lose interested in keeping you alive."
"Sorry." She looked away getting away from indented all. She just managed to leave a delicate indent but not noticeable. She seemed fine, not hurting nor in tears. Was I weak? Have I grown weak? Did I mean to not do harm to her? I must be weak. That was the only reason I could see as to why was fine and didn't do more damage.
"Don't use that tone with me again."
"Yes, lady (y/n). Maybe Lizzie is right. You only want us around to fill a gap of loneliness. You used to see use as our own person. To do what we like as long as we weren't step over the line. Nobody knew what the line was so we don't try to test you. Our living situation perfect, (y/n). We need food. Even you can't deal with yourself when you have ate in months. None of us have." Ella stood up for herself, trying to be brave but at point wanted to be nice and accept that I knew everything and that I could handle it all.
"Food is on its way. Don't worry about food. Don't worry about anything such as that but thank you for telling me of such issue. I didn't realise, it had been so long. It's only been a month. I don't need to eat to maintain myself."
"But we normalised having a monthly source of food, having a grand meal once a week. Me and the others depended on this to feel like we aren't this. Like we are still humans. If your feeling lonely or left out, it's because you don't try to find common ground. Just acting as if you are above us. I'm happy to help you get along better with the others." Ello exclaimed with ideas of how one could fix this problem. I see it not as a problem but silly routine bounded to end at some point. Now or later, they would of stopped supplies.
