Calum's POV

Calum woke feeling better than he has since, well, for a very long time and thinking of that girl, Abby, was what he assumed is what put him in a pretty good mood. He glanced at the alarm clock next to him, it was almost six-thirty in the morning, he yawned, it was too early to be out of bed this early on a Sunday but he was eager to see Abby and spending a little more alone time with her before anyone else woke up would be nice.
It was very odd for him to even be doing something like this, he purposely kept his distance from everyone except Sam and even though he was in a team of five, he tried to keep his distance unless it was unavoidable. But Abby, she was a strange one and her coming from a different world completely intrigued him.
Last night, they ate leftover pizza and talked a lot. Abby didn't say much about her world but questioned about his world which he was happy to tell her all about the team's previous missions which she seemed to have enjoyed. Her brown eyes lit up with excitement and sometimes even laughter when something was funny and it made him feel good.
When Lynette snuck in around one o'clock in the morning, he ignored her but did not stop him from seeing her from the corner of his eye and saw that she gave Abby the 'thumbs up', he would have laughed at Abby's confused expression but Lynette knows what she does. He knew that she had a vision about Abby and that one day, Abby would become a very good friend to us and that soon she would join their team. But that also meant that she wouldn't be going home anytime soon.
Calum suggested that Abby stayed the night which she accepted and he retrieved blankets for her to crash on the lounge, he would've offered her his bed and he would've taken the lounge but besides the rule of there being no girls on that side of the dorm room, it was also completely out of character for him and he shoved that offer out of his mind.
"Good night," he whispered low enough so she wasn't able to hear him.
"I heard you, goodnight," she says back which caught him off guard, maybe he hadn't said it low enough.
He chuckled and turned off the light.

Now, here he was sitting up grinning like an idiot at last night's memories. He got out of bed and went out into the kitchen to see what there was for breakfast as well to see if Abby was awake yet but what he did not expect was to see the blankets were neatly folded and a note of the kitchen counter.

Thanks for a fun night, see you guys sometime today

She had left, but how long ago was that?
Sam emerged from the boy's side groaning in pain. "My head," he whines walking towards the fridge.
"That's what happens when you drink," Calum reminds him. "How are you feeling?
"Like I'm going to die if I don't have water right now," Sam says closing the fridge, leans against the fridge, and sinks down to the floor. Calum goes to get a glass cup from the cupboard and turned on the tap to fill it up with water and he also grabbed a clover from a container to help with Sam's hangover.
"Here," he kneels down handing Sam the clover. "Eat and then drink."
Sam puts the clover into his mouth and with Calum's help, drank some water.
"That tastes insanely good," Sam says taking the cup from Calum and drowns the remaining water from it.
"Want me to get you another one?"
"Please," Sam says smiling. Calum did as his friend wanted and got some more water. "Last night was pretty fun."
"Do you even remember last night?"
"I remember going to the party and dancing and drinking but then everything goes black up until Audrey was calling you her knight in shining armor."
"And we shall never speak of that," Calum says sitting back against the drawers.
"Well, it might be embarrassing for you but it'll also be embarrassing for Audrey when she wakes up," Sam grins. "Cannot wait to tell her."
Calum doesn't respond.
"So are we still up for our mission today?" Sam asks Calum.
"Only if you and Liam are still up for it," Calum says.
"Another clover and I should be set," Sam says.
Calum nodded slowly, he also wanted to go check up on Abby.
"I'm just going to head out for a bit, will you be okay?" Calum asks Sam.
"If I haven't moved from this spot, I am probably dead," Sam replies closing his eyes. Calum rolls his eyes and retrieved another clover and put it in Sam's hand who muttered a 'thank you' as Calum quickly runs back to his room to get changed and he quickly brushed his teeth, ran his fingers through his hair to mess it up a little before nodding at himself as approval before quickly leaving his bedroom.
"You sure you don't want me to help you back to your room?" Calum asks Sam who was still leaning against the fridge.
"Oh my knight in shining armor, as much as I love how you help me through difficult times, please, just leave me here where it is cool and relaxing," Sam dramatically replies with a shameless smile spread across his face.
"Whatever, bye," Calum says and practically runs out the door.
The first place Calum goes to check is Abby's apartment but when he knocked, there was no answer, he even waited but still nothing. If she wasn't here, where would she have gone? Neither Sam or Audrey mentioned about her seeing the headmaster at all this week, perhaps she went there? Or maybe even the library? Or down to the lake? So many options she could have chosen, so Calum decided to go check the headmaster's office before searching at the library. Good thing he was a fast runner and bolted to the main building and up the stairs, this school was pretty awesome and creepy when no students or teachers were roaming around, he liked it.
He was about to knock on the door when he heard Abby's voice.
