Makoto is Trans FTM. That's why his voice wasn't so masculine during the 1st killing game, because he couldn't start taking testosterone yet. (Not trying to insult Bryce's voice acting, I love the guy to death but he must've inhaled a crap ton of helium while voicing Makoto)
