Well, well, well. I just can't seem to shake you off, can I? Well it's nice to see that you're still around. I've been looking through my little story and realized we still have a long ways to go. So, I ask you dear reader, are you ready for adven-

Seven: I'm getting bored...

Six: Can you read already?

Pretender: Get to the point!

Hmph. Fine. Let's get started then.

It was the start of a new day on The Maw.

Guests grumbled as they got up from their sleeping quarters. Pots and pans were crashing in the kitchen, Nomes were scurrying about. Another uneventful day.

But what's this? Why, it appears that our friend Seven is waking up from his slumber! Let's see what he's doing.

Seven's eyes blinked open. He stood up, stretched and leaned over, scratching his back. He was about to wake up Six, who was laying next to him, when he stopped himself. His eyes went wide as he remembered that today, was in fact, not a normal day. It was Six's birthday! How could he have forgotten! "In my defense," he thought, "I was half asleep." But it was no excuse, he had to do something special for Six's special day. What does she like? he thought. He gasped. I know!

FOOD!

Immediately, he headed to the kitchen. "I'm gonna get her the biggest, juiciest, most tender steak in the whole kitchen!" When he got there, he stopped. Poor Seven. Getting that steak for Six just got a whole lot harder. I'm gonna let you take a guess, dear reader, as to what is stopping our hero from achieving his goal. Think carefully!

Have you thought about it? Good. If you guessed the Twin Chefs, then you are correct! Congrats! You just won the satisfaction of doing something right for once in your life. Good job. Now I'm getting tired, so let's let Seven tell the rest.

Seven: Yeah, I was getting kind of tired of your rambling.

Seven's POV:

It was then that I saw them. The fat, ugly, disgusting Twin Chefs.

Crap.

I was going to turn back when I remembered Six. How happy she would be when she gets her steak. Maybe she would give me a hug. Heck, she might even give me a peck on the cheek.

I blushed at the thought, and was now determined to make sure that Six had a happy birthday.

"Alright. Let's do this."

I quietly ran to the meat locker, making sure to stay out of the chefs line of sight. I heard the chefs talking to each other. They seemed to be arguing.

"What are you doing!? You need to season the fish before you rip it open!"

"How does that make any sense!? They aren't going to eat the skin! You're supposed to season the inside you idiot!"

"WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL ME!?"

"YOU HEARD ME!"

"THAT'S IT!"

One of the chefs charged at the other. They began to wrestle, shouting and swearing. I rolled my eyes. Going into the meat locker, I found the dream steak I was looking for. I climbed onto a stack of random pots and pans, which shouldn't be in the locker, and leaped off of them and on to the steak. It slowly slipped off the hook, and it finally came down. However, when I came down, so did the tower of pots and pans. They crashed down, and suddenly everything went silent. The tower narrowly missed me, but it wasn't the thought of being crushed that scared me. It was the loud crashing sound they made. The chefs in the kitchen were silent. After a moment, one of them said, "What wazzat?"

I realized I only had a couple seconds before the chefs come in here, take back the steak, and use me as a snack. So I ran. I ran past them and leaped from ledge to ledge to get to the counter. A knife flew past me. The chefs were throwing silverware, yelling and blaming one another for the stolen steak. I slid through a hole my size, where they couldn't follow. Heaving a sigh of relief, I walked to where Six was sleeping. Well actually, when I got there, she was standing and looking around. When she saw me, she ran towards me, arms outstretched, presumably to give me a hug. But then she saw the steak and stopped, confused.

"Happy birthday, Six."

A slung the steak over my shoulder and onto the floor, then collapsed from exhaustion. She walked towards the steak and got ready to devour it. But before she took a bite, she looked at me, smiled, and grabbed my collar.

"Thanks for the best bday present ever."

And with that, she took my head in her hands and kissed my cheek. Laying me back down, she went to the steak, and devoured it in two seconds. I just sat there, my face  bright red, still trying to grasp the fact that Six just kissed me, when she pulled me up. "Cmon, we got a whole day ahead of us. Let's go explore." "You want to explore? Cmon Six, you have no idea what I went through to get you your present." "Oh cmon please?" "Idunno..." She made a face, and started to pout. "But it's my Birthday." I looked at her and tried to hide my smile. "Fiiiiine, but only cuz its your bday." And she grabbed my hand and dragged me along, to get started on today's adventure.

Meanwhile...

"Do you have what we asked for?"

"Yeah. You do know what we're getting ourselves into right?"

"We all knew when we signed up for this."

"Alright."

"Go get the others. Operation:Kabuki is a go."

End of chapter

Oooooh. Suspense. Every good story has suspense right? And I thought that Six was a tough girl, looks like she's a bit of a softie on the inside. Oh and By the way, I'm so sorry about me being gone for so long. But I would like to say that I am back. But I sorrowfully say that I won't be able to release chapters as often as I want to, but I will try my hardest to provide.

As always ladies and gentlemen, have an amazing day/night! Toodloo for now!
