i laid in my bed later that night, staring up at the ceiling, trying to fall asleep. my mind kept racing through the memories that occurred in the last week, my life has changed so much in a matter of days.
i hear a light tap on my window, i groan, sitting up in my bed. i see jj's figure through the window. i stand up, walking over to it. i unlock the window, opening it.
"hey." he whispers.
"hi, why didn't you come through the front door?" i ask him as he climbs through the window. he shuts the window, wrapping his arms around my waist, pulling me closer to him. i wrap my arms around his shoulders, looking up.
"didn't wanna wake your brother." he answers.
"what's wrong?" i ask.
he doesn't answer, but walks to the bed, climbing into the covers. i sigh, knowing it had something to do with his dad. i mimic his actions, laying down next to him. "what happened?" i whisper. i put a hand on his cheek, forcing him to look at me.
"argued with my dad." he says lowly, i wrap my arms around him as he rests his head on my chest. "just stay here tonight." i say, he nods his head.

the next morning, i sat at the front of the boat with jj, hoping i could catch a tan today. i wore a white bikini, and kie wore a black one. it was extremely hot today, and i wanted to swim in the water.
jj whistles as he looks ahead, he pokes my arm, pointing to a red boat. "you guys see that?" he asks.
"wow, a boat." i say sarcastically.
"that's the malibu 24-MXZ, the worlds finest wakesetter. number one in luxury, quality, and performance. 200k, easy." jj explains to us.
a small smile forms on my lips, i loved how he knew little things like that. "we picked the wrong parents." pope says, looking out at the boat. "i feel ya."
"i hate to break it to you guys, but that's topper and his girlfriend." kie says, my eyes widen and i take a bigger look. i chuckle, "great."
as we drive passed each other, sarah picks up her sunglasses, and looks at us in disgust. i put my middle finger up in the air, in hopes she sees it. "stop." jj says, grabbing my hand, and interlocking our fingers.
"you don't have to act like you don't see us, bitch." kie says. i roll my eyes, "i hate kooks." i say.
