Chapter 7 - The Gap

     On the morning of the next day. Walker opens his eyes and sees his ceiling. He closes his eyes to rub them, then opens them again. He tries to get up but is unable to. He looks at his chest to see why he can't get up and sees Maria and Susan lying on top of him. He says: "Fan-freaking-tastic." He straightens out and looks at the ceiling again. Maria wakes up and looks at him and says: "It looks like he's still asleep, now's my chance." She lifts herself a bit and gets closer to his head. When she reaches his neck he asks: "Chance to do what Maria?" She freaks out and stands up. Maria asks: "How long have you been awake?" He responds: "Longer than you. Now answer my question." (Just for the sake of your mind, she wasn't going for a kiss, she just wanted to cuddle him.) She hesitates and says: "I just wanted to cuddle that's all." Susan says: "Sure you were." Maria questions: "How long were you awake for?" She answers: "I woke up shortly after him." Maria sighs. Walker asks: "Can you get off me now?" Susan kisses him and gets off him, allowing him to stand up and stretch. Susan says: "I didn't get to take a look in that place so remove your shirt." Maria starts blushing as he removes his shirt. Maria looks and sees the black lines that are covering less than half his body. She asks: "What's up with those black lines?" Susan answers her: "Those lines measure his power, this shows that he has almost obtained of his full power." Maria inquires: "Isn't it good, why do you look so sad?" Walker replies: "When these lines cover my body, I will die." Maria grew a look of shock. Walker smiles, pats her head on her head, and says: "As long as I don't obtain the final level I'll be fine." He looks at Susan and says: "Let's get dressed for school and get something to eat." Susan agrees. Maria leaves the room and they get changed and head to the kitchen to cook breakfast, while Susan makes lunch. Maria asks: "Hey Big bro, are you sure you're okay?" Walker says without looking: "Yeah, This isn't the first time something like this has happened, and it most likely won't be the last." She inquires: "Does it hurt?" He responds: "Of course it hurts, That's twice I've been pierced through the chest now." Maria asks as he finishes cooking: "When was the first?" He states: "On my birthday." They talk as they eat. After finishing eating they go outside and head to the bus stop. On the way, they run into Zeke. While walking Walker says jokingly: "Finally on time for the bus huh?" Zeke gives a mocking laugh. They reach the stop and wait for the bus. Susan looks at Walker and sighs, then she precedes to button up his shirt and says: "You should follow the school's guidelines." Walker smiles and says: "How do you know I didn't do this on purpose knowing you would fix it." Susan smiles and Zeke says: "Get a room." Walker laughs and Susan backs away. The bus arrives and they got on and go to school.

     As soon as Walker walks in Danny rushes him, but is stopped a few feet away by an invisible wall. Danny asks: "How and why did you do that?" Walker questions: "Do what?" Danny gives him a confused look. Walker shrugs and heads to a table and everyone joins him. While they were talking the Murphy sister's minus Lisa walk up to them. Stephanie says: "Hey guys." Everyone replies: "Hi." Susan asks: "Who are they?" Danny explains as Walker sits there. Maiko leans towards Susan and asks: "What happened to him?" Susan replies: "I don't know, he's been like this since we got here." He stands up and starts walking away. Susan asks: "Where are you going?" He responds coldly: "To class. see ya later." As he's walking to class he thinks to himself What's going on with me? Why am I cold to people right now? I was fine earlier. This smell, someone's trying to control me. Walker stops in the middle of the hall and his hair and right eye changes. He gasps and breathes heavily. He looks around. Back with the others. Abigail looks at Susan and asks: "What's going on with your hair and eye?" Hearing this Susan gets up and runs to Walker. When she reaches him she sees him sitting on the ground with his head hanging low. She asks: "Are you okay?" Walker looks up at her and kisses her. He says: "I'm fine now, but we have a problem. DOMINATION has struck again." Susan questions: "How so?" He responds: " It's a creature that can control people with scents. That's also why I was acting weird. We have to warn the others." They head back to the cafeteria and see a young girl surrounded by everyone. Danny and the others are affected as well. Walker says: "We're too late." The girl looks at Walker and walks towards him. She stops a few feet away, leans forwards showing her chest, and says: "Hello handsome, I'm Lily gray. It's a pleasure to meet you." Walker says: "Hi I'm Walker Price." and Susan says angrily: "Hi, I'm his fiancee, Susan Williams." Lily scoffs and says to Walker: "Why don't we ditch Ms.Bothersome and get to know each other." She reaches out her hand and smiles. Walker says: "No thanks." He takes Susan's hand and walks away. Lily says with an evil grin: "I will have you Walker Price." The day goes by as normal except everyone fawns over Lily. After school Walker and Susan get on the bus and see their the only ones on. Walker thinks to himself This is her work I'm sure of it. The bus takes them home.
