Chapter 4 - Powers Awaken

     A month has passed since Walker took off. Adisa took this opportunity and grew closer to Susan, to the point they went on a couple of dates. Danny, Jack, and Zeke continue to hang out, but feel something is missing. The group Splits up without Walker to hold them together. Jen and Anna continue to hang out with Susan when she's not with Adisa. When Maria received word of his disappearance her condition took a turn for the worse. When his parents heard, his mother burst into tears, while his father did nothing as usual. With Susan. She wakes up and changes into her uniform for school. She says bye to her parents and leaves the house. She heads to the bus stop and waits for the bus. Zeke shows up a little bit later. While waiting for the bus Zeke asks: "So how are you?" Susan responds: "Fine." They waited in silence after that. The bus arrives and they get on and sit in empty seats. They arrive at school and go to their lockers and put their stuff away. They go to eat breakfast and sit with separate groups. All the while, Susan has a look of depression on her face. Adisa walks up to her and asks: "You still miss him don't you?" she nods her head. Adisa laughs and says: "Forget about him, you're with me now." She sighs. He sits next to her and cuddles her. Jack stands up to go over there but Danny stops him. Jack looks at him only to see him shake his head. He sits down and eats his breakfast, then goes to class. The bell rings a bit later and everyone heads to their class. With Walker in an unknown location. Walker breathes heavily. He falls backward and says: "This is tiring and I've spent to much time Working on this. Not to mention the progress of that spot has increased a bit. I'll have to be careful because when it fully covers my body I will die." Flame speaks up: "You have made good progress with your power." Walker says back: "Yeah, but it's not enough. I'll need a lot more power and I can't waste time like I did to obtain these powers." Flame suggests: "You could try training in your inner world." Walker sighs and asks: "Wait, I can do that?" Flame responds: "Yeah, sorry I didn't mention it before." Walker gets up and says: "It's cool, I've achieved a stronger power than the others. I can visit while I sleep and train every night." Flame says: "Yep. I can help you keep track of time so you always wake up on time." Walker says: "With that taken care of, we should head home. The trip will take a couple of days. Not to mention I can't help but wonder how everyone is doing. I'll have to be careful with the new power when I use it since I just obtained it. The first thing I'm doing when I get home is showering, getting a hair cut and shaving." Flame chuckles. Walker says while laughing: "come on, let's go." Walker gets into his and starts heading home.

     After school, everyone gets on the buses and returns home. Susan heads straight home and goes into her room. She thinks about Walker and the look on his face when he left. The next day Everyone heads to school and does the same boring thing. With Walker in some town. He pumps gas into his car. While he waits an explosion happens nearby. Everyone runs screaming from it. He sighs and heads inside. He finds the clerk and asks: "Hey can you finish pumping gas into my car for me?" The clerk responds: "Sure, why?" He explains: "I have something I need to check out. thanks, I'll be back in a bit." He leaves and goes to the site of the explosion and see a 20 foot giant blue four-armed creature with round fists and magma dripping from them. He sighs and says: "You guys are annoying me. Just leave me alone." A sword materializes in his right hand. He raises the sword and brings it down, cutting the creature in half and burning the halves into ashes. He heads back to the gas station. When he arrives he heads inside and pays for the gas and pays extra for the clerk finishing pumping gas in his car. He then gets in his car and starts heading towards home. When Susan gets home, she sees the news. The reporter says: "Earlier today, a strange beast attacked this little town. They were no casualties except the creature. According to reports from fleeing citizens the young man that defeated the creature was 7 feet tall, well built, had red hair and summoned a sword out thin air. Whoever this young man is we thank you for protecting us. Now for the weather." Susan thinks to herself That sounds like Walker. Is he on his way home? Please be safe. Susan smiles for the first time since Walker disappeared. She heads to her room and lies on her bed. She smiles at the thought of Walker coming home. Then she realizes all the stuff she has done and wonders if he'll forgive her. She falls asleep hoping that he does. The next day at school. Susan sits with Jen and Anna. Danny, Jack, and Zeke sit with them. Danny asks: "Did you guys see the news yesterday?" Anna says: "Yeah, it's crazy. The person's description was vague, but it has to be him." Susan sits there thinking of Walker. With Walker in another town filling up on gas. Walker sighs and says: "I have an hour until I get home. Then I can get a shower, haircut, and shave. Then I'll go to see Maria. Then I'll see Susan." Walker smiles at the thought when A creature appears. He sighs and says: "You're annoying me." He kicks the Creature into the sky. It lands behind the station. He finishes pumping gas and pays. He goes around the station to where the creature. He transforms into the armored form. The creature stands three stories high. With three teeth. Its hands have three claws. Its toes are two claws jutting out and one from the heel. It has demon-like wings. Its tail has spikes jutting out all over. Pyro grabs his sword and lifts it and swing it down, calling out: FLAME SLASH. The creature is enveloped in flames and burn to a crisp. He changes back to Walker and gets into the car and heads home. When he gets home he heads inside. His mom hugs him as soon as she sees him. He says: "I miss you too. Now if you'll excuse me I need to shower." His mother lets go and heads to the bathroom and showers. When he gets out, he heads to his room and puts on new clothes. He leaves his room and tells his parents he will be back and that he has errands to run. He leaves the house and gets in his car. He pulls out of the driveway and heads to a barbershop. On his way out he cul-de-sac, he waits for a bus to drop off students. The students walk past him without a second thought and head to their homes. He leaves the cul-de-sac and heads to the barbershop. At the barber's he regularly visits he asks for his usual with a shave. With Susan. Having just watched the news, Susan is happy to see Walker again. Thinking back to when she got off the bus, she looked at the car and thought it looked like Walker's. When she walked past the car, she saw a bearded guy in the driver's seat. She sits up after realizing that was Walker. She falls back in disappointment. With Walker at the barbershop. After having his hair cut and his beard shaven, he pays and gets back in his car and heads to the hospital. After arriving at the hospital he gets out of the car and heads inside. He walks up to the reception desk and says: "I'm here to see Maria price." The receptionist says: "Room 413, be careful though. Her condition is unstable at the moment." He says: "Thank you for letting me know." He heads to room 413. He enters and sees Maria lying in bed hooked up to machines. He notices her eyes are open and asks: "Hey Maria, did you miss me?" Maria turns her head to see who said that. When she sees Walker her eyes light up. She tries to lift herself but falls back down. Walker catches her before she hit the bed. He helps her to sit up. When she's balanced, she hugs as hard as she can to show how much she missed him. He pats her back to comfort her. They push away from each other. Walker says: "I heard your condition wasn't stable. My guess is after you heard of my disappearance, and the thought of never seeing me again made you take a turn for the worse." Maria nods. Walker smiles and says: "I promise, I won't disappear like that again. You have my word." Maria smiles. He asks: "Can you give me your hand real quick?" Maria gives him her hand. A symbol appears on her hand. He says: "As long as this symbol is on your hand, you'll know I'm here for you." Maria looks at the mark and says: "Thank you, big bro." He smiles. After a while of catching up, Walker gets up to leave. He turns to her and says: "Listen, I have to go home now, but we'll see each other soon. I promise. Later." Maria says: "Okay, big bro, see you soon." Walker leaves while smiling. Flame speaks up: "You plan on using my power to heal her, don't you?" Walker replies: "Yep." Flame says back: "Alright. I'll make it to where she heals slowly so the doctors won't freak out." Walker says: "Thak you, Flame." Walker leaves the hospital and gets in his car. He pulls out of the parking lot and heads home. He pulls into the driveway and goes inside the house. He heads to his room and goes to bed.
