Maya exhales as she puts in a earring before she looked over to the bedroom across her window.
Seeing Josh the last few weeks every day has been everything for her and she knows she's going to have to end that soon enough.
She shook her head adshe quickly brushed through her hair.

Josh looks up from his guitar to where he saw the young girl brushing through her locks.
Of course she was as beautiful as ever to him but she won't ever not be.
He exhaled as Maya grabbed her handbag realizing Josh was looking at her.
She gave him a soft smile before she went out of the apartment.

Walking out on the streets she had realized that nothing has ever changed.
She was still just a girl who was a huge nobody.
But maybe it would have been different.
She doesn't know how she will eventually change that.
Walking into Topanga's she immediately sees Topanga smiling.
She was being accompanied by a girl her own age but she didn't want to cause too much trouble.

"Hey, Maya. Mind keeping this one company for a quick few minutes? I just need to check up on the kitchen," Topanga said.
"Sure," Maya said and sat down as Topanga went out back.
"My mother is just being all over the place. Riley Matthews. I've heard a lot about you. Got the place buzzing," Riley said.
"Thanks. Your mother really did give me a whole new meaning. But I don't actually know why she wanted to see me," Maya said.
"You will soon enough know," Riley said as Topanga came back out.

"Okay. I have your very first salary check right here" Topanga said giving Maya an envelope which she quickly opened up.
"This is too much," Maya said.
"Its what is in your contract. Which I want to adjust. I want you to sing more than just Friday. The last month you have been keeping this place boiling. I want us to work together more. So what do you say Wednesday and Friday nights from next week?" Topanga asked and Maya nod.
"Good. I'll set up the contract and I will see how we can make to adjust our salary. Go and buy a few things for your apartment. You can't sleep on a bay window for the rest of your life," Topanga said and Maya smiled.
"Thank you," Maya said.

Josh sat in the office while he looked over at a photo of Morgan.
He wondered various times how his sister is doing but today for some reason his suspicion was higher.
He knew it was just something but he also knew it was not likely that he would actually wonder.
He heard his phone vibrating and instantly opened the message.

Think everything is going to be okay. Thank you for the calm down the other week. You are my hero. M.

Maya, he thought before he put the phone away.
The young girl had certainly gotten under his skin very fast and just the thought of being in love was too much for him.
