Maya exhaled as she was in Josh's apartment while both knew they needed to talk but neither knew what to say.
"So, how are we doing this?" Maya asked as Josh handed her a cup of coffee.
"I don't know. And I know we can't just go with the flow. We are not the kind of people who that could work with. But I don't know how it could change," Josh said.
"Josh, I've loved you for a long time now. We are neighbors who fell in love," Maya said.
"I know we are. Which is also what makes it so much harder for me to act normal," Josh said as Maya smiled.
"What's normal about our situation? Can't we just see where a relationship will go?" Maya asked as Josh looked at her.
"I guess we can," Josh said as Maya gave him a kiss on his cheek.
