Tim's face twisted in confusion. It would have made Damian smile if the situation wasn't so serious.

"An omega?!" Tim whisper-yelled.

Tim knew he was a beta and thus did not have the sense of smell that his alpha companions did, but he was trained well enough to have just about the same skill levels as an inexperienced alpha.

He could smell past scent blockers, and locate a person by scent within close proximity. He was still a beta after all.

The most a common beta could do was differentiate an alpha from omega, and pup from fellow beta.

Especially with omegas!

But somehow he didn't catch that Jason was an omega? You could smell an omega from miles away, their scent was by far the strongest.

And even if he couldn't catch on surely Dick, or Bruce would know. No blocker could fool them especially with their own.

But they seemed to also be unaware. They didn't treat Jason like an omega. Tim was no fan of discrimination against omegas, nor did he believe they should have special treatment, but still. There was a certain way to handle an omega. So many ways to set them off, so many things that both Bruce and Dick must have triggered at some point.

Could that be why they seem to struggle with him so much? Or was he just stubborn?

Damian nodded bringing Tim out of his spiral.

Tim's face further twisted in confusion.

"Hold on..." Tim traveled back to where he had taken the test. His testing had completed and low and behold the result revealed Jason as the owner. "Oh my god."

"You allowed his scent blockers to fool you." Damian stated with an annoyingly prideful tone.

Tim's shock turned into a smile, "Dick's gonna love this." He said confidently.

Damian's face shifts into a cringe and he allowed himself to let out a short protective growl escapes Damian, "Jason is already being courted."

Tim snaps his head over to Damian, "by Talia! It all makes sense," Tim's smile grew wider, knowing he had solved his questions on his own, "looks like she was successful."

"Indeed." Damian remarked making his way out of the cave.

"Where are you going?" Tim asked a hint of distrust rose in his scent, with a very slight bit of fear.

"Todd's." Damian said simply.

"Damian..." the distrust did not lower nor did it rise.

"It will be quick." Damian assured not to ease his pack mate down but to make sure he was not followed.

"Damian..." the other repeated without an actual attempt to stop the boy, but more of a simple warning, the best warning a beta could muster to an alpha.

"All is well, Drake." Damian climbed to his preferred exit of a window like tunnel out of the cave.

Tim was silent as Damian began his exit.

As Damian continued out the tunnel he heard Tim's faint voice say:

"If I hear anything about Jason being harmed in any way you're in deep shi-"

Damian didn't stick around to listen to the end of his "adoptive brother's" sentence before he was off to Jason's.

He'd have to make it there before dawn finally broke, which was in fifteen minutes. At least he wouldn't have to also get ready for schooling, it was Saturday, and his father would not question his absence since Jon was in Gotham.
