Chapter 4

Hayes came in first wrapping his arms around me. "Really... Are you ok?" Hayes said sliding down next to me. I shook my head and looked at shawn almost begging him to tell hayes what was going in at home and at school. "No." Shawn said bluntly, I knew it hurt him to say this. "Please shawn... Please tell hayes..." I was begging him to tell hayes. I knew he probably wouldn't listen and not tell hayes, but I were wrong. Hayes stood up with shawn and walked out of the room. After 5 or so minutes of trying clean myself up i decided to wander through the building. I came across what seemed like a music room. I sing... Ok? Nobody knows... Not even my brother. I sat down at the piano, played a few chords. I began to sing my favourite song, "human" by Christina perri. I got so lost in singing I didn't hear the footsteps behind me. "Wow... You're amazing" hayes said standing behind me. I turned a bright red in embarrassment... "Oh umm... Thanks I guess" I said back to hayes. "So I.. Umm.. Was wondering if you wanted to hang out later?" I could tell hayes was really nervous to ask. "Id love to, we could go grab something to eat now... If you'd like?" I suggested this to hayes, I thought it would make it less awkward... "Sure" hayes said it so sweetly... It made my heart melt. I stood up and walked towards hayes, he intertwined his fingers in between mine as we walked past the main stage where the boys were rehearsing. "Where are you going?" Nash called out at hayes. Hayes abruptly threw his hand in the air and said "we'll be back In a while". "Be safe!!" Shawn managed to shout out before we walked out the doors...

Hayes an I walked out the doors hand in hand. Thank god there were no crazy fans out. We walked and talked for about 30 minutes before we came across a small park that had a small coffee shop. "Want a drink? It's on me.." Hayes asked me. "Uh yeah sure!" I responded not wanting to say no... I got a small iced coffee and Hayes just got a bottled water. We talked about pointless stuff for like 10 minutes before he just stopped. He just looked at me... I blushed but then got nervous. "Um are you ok?" I asked him, "oh, uh.. Yeah" he said, I could tell something was on his mind.

*hayes POV*

crap. I was staring at her. "Um are you ok?" She asked me. "oh, uh.. Yeah" I said fast back... Man I'm falling for sarah... I just don't know wether to wait a few more days to ask her out, or should I ask her now?

*Sarah POV*

he responded really fast. Something is definitely on his mind. "Did Shawn tell you? About everything?" I asked Hayes. "Yeah... and about that. You need someone there to protect you. Not just Shawn, but me. So Sarah... Will you be my girlfriend? I'll protect you through anything. I promise." He spat it all out. I knew something was on his mind, but not this. I felt my eyes get watery and puffy. I was crying. I nodded and leaned over to Hayes resting my head on his shoulder. I felt so safe in his arms... I felt like nothing could break me and Hayes apart.
