Fernando & Ruby - We found love again.

Our First Day Together

Ruby woke up facing the window and with  a hand on her waist. She was a little disoriented but then the day before started to come back to her again, a feeling of unlimited happines rose from her heart.

  "Good morning Mi amor" She heard from behind her as his hand started caresing her hip under the sheets. She turned around and gave Fernando a kiss on the mouth before responding.

"Good Morning handsome." She caressed his face feeling immensely happy that she could once again wake up next to him. She wanted to stay like this forever, in his arms she felt complete and so happy. "Fernando... I don't want to leave. I don't want to wake up not having you by my side. I don't want to let you go ever again. I want to make up for the lost time, with you and Sophie. And be here for her and the child she's expecting. I made a mistake long time ago in not looking for you again, in assuming you had died back in Mexico. Please forgive me." By the end she was in tears, she really did regret all the mistakes she had made.

  "Ruby, I have nothing to forgive you for. It wasn't your fault how things went down. God separated us but he also brought us back together. And I would love nothing more than for you to stay and be here with me. I have a house really close to the beach, we could live there the rest of our lives. You just need to say yes." Fernando dried her tears and waited for her response.

"Of course. I would live anywhere with you." She smiled and moved closer to kiss him. Fernando deepened the kiss making her moan as his hand traveled over her body below the sheets. She moved on top of him and started moving her hands down his body.

Ruby was walking up the stairs from the tour Fernando had given her  from his house. Their house. He had made sure that he told her it was theirs. She was going to tell Sophie she was going to stay. She walked to the lobby and rolled her eyes when she saw Barbara at the front desk.

  "Ruby, Que gusto verte." Barbara said as she saw Ruby walk in.

"Yeah, same." Ruby had promised Fernando she would try to start again with Barbara. "I'm looking for Sophie. Can you tell her I'm here."

  "What do you want with her.?" Ruby felt her inner bitch starting to wake up, the only thing that stopped her is that she wanted to make amends with Sophie and starting a fight was sure not gonna help.

  "I want to talk to her. So go on do your job and go look for her." Ruby snapped back. Barbara gave her an allover before leaving. Ruby looked around in the lobby and felt her heart clench when she saw Donna's pictures. She holded her hand out and passed it through the frame. She had made so many mistakes and hoped that in the beyond her daughter could forgive her.
"Grandma" She turned around and saw Sophie coming with Barbara right behind.

  "Soph." Ruby took one last look at the pictures and walked over to Sophie giving her a hug. "I wanted to tell you something." She though Barbara would take the hint and leave but she stayed behind the desk." But can we go somewhere private."

"Of course. Barbara I'll be right back and when I come back I'll take the front desk." Sophie took Ruby's hand and leaded her to a pair of chairs in the courtyard , there was nowhere around so it would just fine.

  "Soph... I meant what I said yesterday, I want to make amends for not being here. I could not tell Donna I was sorry but I can tell you. I am so sorry for not being here. But I promise to be around more. And with that Fernando and I want to stay together. I have decided to stay here in Kalokairi and help you when the baby is born. I just wanted to know if you are okay with it ?"

  "Are you kidding? Nothing would make me happier grandma." Sophie moved up and hugged her. She responded putting her arms around her .

  "Grandma I forgive you and I'm sure mom would too. " Sophie moved out of the embrace but holded Ruby's hand. "I have something to give you. Just wait for me here." Ruby sat and cleaned the tears that had fallen as she spoke with Sophie.

"Here. Mom said to read it alone." Sophie handed her a letter. In the front was of the envelope said 'mom' in the most beautiful handwriting she had seen. She knew it was Donna's, she remembered she always loved how her daughter wrote.

  "Thank you." Ruby said not looking up from the object in her hands.

"I'll leave you to it...Grandma I really am happy that you are here." Sophie gave her one last hug and walked inside.
  ...
She was sitting in her new home, looking at the note her daughter had written her. She planned on reading it , just not now. She didn't feel strong enough or worthy of her daughter's words.

  "Ruby" She heard Fernando calling her from the kitchen. She got up and walked over to him. She standed at the doorway looking at him. "Our first dinner is ready. I personally made it and I hope you'll like it."
 
"You know I'll like anything if it comes from you" She smiled and walked inside to the kitchen wrapping her arms around his neck. He leaned down and kissed her before guiding her to a chair.

"So what are we eating?" She asked as he turned around and bend over the oven.

"We are eating lasagna. And I cooked because I know you hate to do so."

"If you want me to clean, I will do so. But if you make me cook, we'll never sleep in the same bed again." She said jokingly.

"Well I don't want that to happen" She got up and handed his their plates before looking for something to drink.
"Do you have any Dr. Pepper ?"

"You still like that stuff?" He asked mocking her. He knew since he met her that Dr. Pepper was her all time favorite.

"Yes, my love for it will never die. Just like my love for you" He stopped what he was doing and walked over to her. He snaked his arms around her waist and kissed her cheek. "And like my love for you" He whispered in her ear. He turned her around and carried her to the countertop, once she was there she holded his face with both hands and moved down to kiss him. They kissed for awhile before she parted.

"We should really eat. I don't want your hard work to not pay off." She managed to leave his arms and keep looking for their drinks.

They ate together laughing and kissing throughout all their first dinner. It meant the world to then that they could be together and having dinner without fear like before."We should go to bed " Fernando said putting their plates and cups in the sink. He walked back to her and holdded his hand out. She took it and walked back to their bedroom.

"I have to have my things sent over from Las Vegas. I left all my wardrobe there." She said as she looked between her stuff.

"You mean you have more.?"

"Of course I have more. This is the minimum for traveling. I packed so fast I didn't pack much."

"So 6 suitcases aren't enough.?"

"No." She responded as if it was the most obvious thing.

"Well I don't care if you travel with hundreds of suitcases, I still love you."

"And I love you." She chose a white silk night gown, took of her makeup and finally got in bed with Fernando.

"Good Night my love." Fernando looked down at her and kissed her forehead and then her lips. She responded making the kiss deeper but stopping before it went to far.

"Buenas noches, te amo" She said

"Yo también " She moved closer to his warm embrace and both were asleep in no time.
