Everyone stilled, I can hear every heart beat riding faster shock coursing through our system. Their voices are in the background my breathing is drowning out the sounds. The panic in their voices echoes like I'm underwater and it's not loud enough.

The whole room is spinning, the room is getting hotter and I can't seem to breathe. I felt a hand land on my shoulder.

"Jessy." Chad spoke.

I look up to his worried face nodding at him that I'm okay. I took a deep breath trying to get myself together.

"What sort of poison is it?" I asked Luther.

"It's a hydrangea known as the pink rose that grows 15 feet tall, this flower can harm humans aswel giving them itchy skin, vomiting, weakness and sweating. This flower is already deadly but with vampires it's like the worst kind of plague and no vampire wants to die from this poison. Not a lot of vampires have the knowlege to know about this plant, it is very rare to see it being used to vampires."

"How many hours do we have left?"

"From what I see her body is already breaking down blood circulation, high fever and convulsions I would say 6 hours and no more."

I sighed deeply feeling a whole amount of pressure to get the antidote and not fail, I can't fail.

"What antidote are we looking for exactly?" I feel anxious and nervous that I began to pace along the room.

"It's called old tijikko tree it's a 9,500 year old tree. It's non existence anymore, the last tree grew in Ice Land."

I could almost punch the nearest thing I could touch at how frustrating and unfair this is. Instead I clenched my hand tightly focusing on the pain in my palms instead of the raging anger building up inside.

"Where the hell am I suppose to get that?" I growled in anger running my hand through my hair.

"I have no idea." Luther shook his head sadly. "I'm sorry." He said in sympathy.

"Don't say sorry, she's not dying, she will not die."

Everyone stayed quiet listening in to our conversation but not talking. When one of us are wounded so badly we have no idea what to do.

"Is she awake?" I whispered a large lump forming in my throat.

"Soon she will be." He nodded.

I walked away walking upstairs my footsteps echoing loudly at each step. I wrap my hand around the cold door knob breathing in and out preparing myself. I open the room that is filled with quietness, my eyes landing on the bed where Kat lay. Her lips is white without color, her face pale with a coat of new sweat running down her forehead, her eyes flutter wildly and her breathing is uneven and shallow. She jerks around a couple of times mumbling something.

This morning I wasn't prepared to see Kat in Chester's arms unconscious, her body trembling in agonizing pain. The panic in Chester's voice had everyone fearing for her. He said they were going out to feed and he just turned his back for just a minute then he found her on the ground screaming loudly. Chester claim it could be hunters, soliders but I think it's my father. Every bad thing leads to him and I believe he did it. Kat is our back up when things get hard, she get us quick and easy in any mission. She is a threat to my dad and he decided to take her out.

I move closer to her shaking my head, the vision of her lying in bed breathing so heavily with each struggle of breath had me freezing on my spot and the way she looks so weak I know she would burn the person that did this to her.

"Hey." I look over at Brett.

Niki called him straight away and the moment he saw how Kat flinches in pain whenever she moves had him crying for her pain. The only thing the really had her beathe a relief from the pain is when Brett leaned in and kissed her. For that tiny contact from him her features soften Brett freeing her from the pain.
