"Mr Parker, sir?"
"Yes, FRIDAY?" A small, timid voice spoke up.
"Mr Stark has been alerted." The AI replied.
"Please, FRI. There's no need to disturb Mr Stark." Peter, who was currently shaking, responded.
"I am sorry, Mr Parker. But it is Protocol."
"Protocol?" Peter furrowed his eyebrows.
"The Baby Monitor Protocol."
It was another one of those nights, where Peter's nightmare were too much for him to handle. Most of the time, it was either being crushed by the warehouse, or turning to dust, or Mysterio and his illusions.
In those cases, Peter's heart rate will hit a certain level, which will activate the Baby Monitor Protocol, which caused FRIDAY to alert the billionaire, which will then make the usually cool and compose billionaire go crazy.
Speaking of which, Tony ran into the room. "Peter? You okay?"
"Yeah." Peter replied, with a bit of strain to his voice.
"You want to talk about it?"
"It was different this time." Peter muttered.
"How so?"
"Uncle Ben." Peter whispered. "I killed Uncle Ben. Uncle Ben. I-I killed Uncle Ben." Peter was suddenly trembling crazily.
"Peter. Peter, listen to me." Tony gently wrapped his arms around the (his) kid. "Peter. Did you hold the gun?"
"N-No."
"Pull the trigger?"
"N-No."
"Then you didn't kill Uncle Ben."
"You don't understand Mr Stark." Peter sobbed into Tony's arm. "I could have stopped it."
Peter never really told Tony the full story of Uncle Ben, and all Tony knew was that the man was shot.
"Maybe Aunt May died because I killed Uncle Ben." Peter continued, which caused Tony to stiffen up.
"Peter, who's putting these ideas in your head?"
"They are facts, Mr Stark."
"Peter please, I can help. Just tell me."
"I don't want you to kill Flash." Peter mumbled.
"FRI."
"Yes sir."
Tony turned to face Peter, and looked him in the eye. "What was this nightmare really about?"
"Uncle Ben and Aunt May blamed me for his death. But, Mr Stark. It's true. It-" Peter broke into sobs. Tony cradled Peter in his arms, occasionally murmuring some words into Peter's ears.
"Shh. Cry it all out, okay? Their death isn't your fault Peter, understand that."
Soon, Peter fell asleep in Tony's arms.
---
Tony was having a really bad day the next day. He had meetings back-to-back, and he was getting super annoyed. By the time he reached the penthouse, he was ready to shoot anyone in his way, bar Pepper and Peter.Until he saw a note on the table.
Thank you for yesterday, Mr Stark. :)
Tony smiled. It took only that letter from the (his) kid to make his day better.
This has nothing to do with the request, oop sorry Liya.
