She walks in like she owned the place. Heads up. She nods at the guard who seemed thrilled to see her. I don’t know why. I don’t know why I’m looking at her in the first place. She helped herself towards the bar. The bar tender has the reaction same as the guard but he smiled at her.
She smiled back and said, “Wanna be not me tonight, so better help me Mac.”
I don’t know what that is supposed to mean. I was wondering when she turned around and caught my eyes looking at her.
She smirked at me, stood up and then…
I woke up.
I squeezed my eyes shut. Ughhh not again! Ever since I met that girl, I never had a night with no thoughts or dreams of her. It’s been six months for Pete’s sake! Why can’t she just disappear and get the hell out of my head?
“It’s because you wanna see her again.” A little voice in the corner of my head said.
I shut him out. Am I crazy? I’ve been talking to myself lately. All because of that damn girl. I just can’t share this to my friends. They’ll laugh at me like I’m one of those suckers for love. Love?! Where that word did even came from? Fuck.
I glance at my watch. 7:10. 20 minutes before my first subject. I should probably get ready for school. Not that I mind being late but I should get myself moving to push that girl out of my bloody mind.
Once I’m ready, I shouted, “Liz, I’m off to school now!” Liz is my Nanny for what seemed forever. Don’t ask about my parents, you’ll never get an answer.
I heard her running towards me. “Not eating any breakfast Mastro?” she asked. Mastro, I don’t know what that means but I get used to her calling me that.
I shrugged. “Cafeteria will do Liz.”
She smiled and nodded. “Okay Mastro, be safe.”
I run out of the house. My baby’s surely waiting for me outside.
And there she is.
Standing shiny in front of me is my beloved silver-colored Ducati motorcycle. I never let anyone touch or drive her. Just me and me alone.
I quickly jump on her, make her alive and here we go. School can wait; I’m spending time with my baby.
The second the sound of my ride reached school, all heads are on me. Yeah, you see, I’m a celebrity here.
I parked at my designated place. Then somebody just lurched into me and mauled my lips.
“Nice to see you already decided to show up.” Jessica, the so-called school’s queen bee, said with a glimpse of annoyance on her face. I ignored her.
“It’s about time you showed up bro!” Paul said while giving me a brotherly tap at my shoulder. He’s with my guys who all gave me a nod. We’re like brothers here, uhmm maybe you can call us a gang of deadly handsome guys. I’m just kidding. Or maybe not.
“Yeah. Whatever.” I walked on completely ignoring Jessica. I really don’t like how she’s acting as if I’m hers. The last thing I need is somebody who would take my freedom away from me.
