"Kaito! Make me a martini and make it strong", he called out as he stormed in to his mansion.
"And two mock-tails for the Officers. They can't drink. They're driving", he said, shooting a glare at Kira as she smirked in defiance.
He took off his blazer and loosened his tie a bit as he sat down and his personal waiter brought over the drinks, handing them to each of the three individuals.
"So, what have you found of my Daughter?", he asked, gulping down his drink and demanding another one. "Keep them coming Kaito".
"She laced her body guard with laxatives to make him too unwell to work. She did this so that she could meet a man who she accused of theft to, 'WILLINGLY', give him her precious jewels, to which she said were stolen when she was supposedly 'attacked'. We found security footage in the guard hut that proves she was not attacked", explained the Commander confidently. "Your Daughter then confessed to being threatened but would not tell us what the threat was other than the fact she had to protect you. Can you explain why she would say that Sir?".
The Prime Minister chortled, tightening his tie as he sipped his newly made drink. "I am the Prime Minister. Naturally I am not the most liked person in the world due to everyone having differing opinions on how this country should be run. I am always receiving threats, but I never take them seriously. Missy is aware of this and probably took it in to her own hands thinking she was doing some good".
"I'm afraid in order to take this case further and to make an actual arrest, we will need her to tell us the truth about what this threat was. She was obviously shaken enough to lie to us and go to some pretty extreme measures to try and have this man behind bars", she paused for a moment, her eyes meeting his in warning, "However, without a strong threat, there won't actually be much we can do to arrest him, since she handed him her jewels without incident. Unless you yourself have been threatened?".
The Prime Minister suddenly shot Kira and angry look, one full of defensiveness, "What are you implying here?!", he spat. "Are you saying you think I'm up to no good? Is that what you're getting at?! Huh?!".
Kira almost looked unnerved for a brief moment, but then put on a brave face as Ivory's eyes turned wide and frightened at the sudden aggressiveness. "No Sir, we just need to know as much information as possible in order to make a valid arrest, otherwise the worst this man will get is a restraining order and a warning".
"Well, I think you should leave now and forget about this case", snarled the Prime Minister, "I can replace her jewels and monitor her phone activity myself. If you can't arrest him then you're services are useless to us. Now leave my home".
Kira nodded, "Detective White, let's go back to HQ".
"But we can't just-".
"Back to base", bit Kira.
Ivory frowned at her and stood up, nodding and staying silent.
Kira dusted off her clothes and folded her arms, her head held high, "Sorry for wasting your time Sir. We will be in contact shortly".
"Get out", he gurgled, staring the two Woman down in disgust as Missy walked in to the room and stared at them.
"There's definitely more to this than meets the eye", said Kira, a determined look in her eyes as she sat in the patrol car and wound down her window, allowing the gentle, cooling breeze to claim her.
"He assumed we thought he was up to no good", remarked Ivory, "Which immediately makes him look suspicious".
"He must be involved in something in order to react that way to a simple statement, so I think it's time to do some digging", sighed Kira. "There is no way I'm dropping this case after that reaction and unjustified behaviour".
"Yeah", muttered Ivory, staring off in to the hazy sky as the humidity clung to her skin like a wet blanket. It had suddenly gotten darker, heavy grey clouds forming in the sky once more. Another storm was coming.
"What the Hell have you done Missy?!", echoed a furious tone, Kira and Ivory shooting up in their seats and looking over to the mansion.
"I'll be back in a minute, I'm going to get closer and record this", said Kira as she slowly opened the car door and creeped over to some nearby bushes that were just thick enough to hide her. She set her phone to record and held it up so she could just about get the Prime Minister and his Daughter in the shot.
