Ch.11

What just happened?
Now here I was, sitting in the passenger seat of a black van. Right next to a crazy person in a mask who claims that he'll kill me if I don't find his little friend.

I stared out the window, pretending to pay attention to the trees and not to the situation at hand right now. I couldn't see the guy sneak glances at me, but I felt it. Like I could feel him looking at me from behind the wheel...wait, I just realized I don't know this guy's name. Yet he knows everything about me and my "highschool sweetheart".

I looked down at my lap while trying to find the right words to say. I could feel his eyes burn holes into my body.

I took in a deep breath.

"W-what's your name?"
I start to get nervous. Oh God, he's gonnakillmehesgonnakillmehesdefinitelygonnakillme-

"What?"
"Y-your name, what is it?"
He paused for a moment. Thinking about what only could be what he was going to say.

"That's probably something we should save for another day, princess."
There he goes again with that 'princess' stuff. It was really starting to get on my nerves. But of course, I kept my mouth shut. Cuz you know, he can kill me.

2nd POV
"How do you know Toby and Brian?"
That was the question he really didn't want to answer. The only reason he didn't tell you his name, was because he wanted to mess with you. He didn't want to tell you about his job. If he did, that'd only scare you more. He had to come up with something.

"We're...coworkers." Yeah coworkers, since it was technically true. They did work together...4 years ago. Until Slender kicked Toby out and Brian left with him. Masky (Every time I type his name it autocorrects to "MASKY"😂) didn't understand why Brian had left. He had always seemed so...so...nothing. He barely ever talked, how was Masky supposed to know what he was feeling?

Masky's grip on the wheel tightened. So much that his knuckles started turning white. The talk of his former friend leaving frustrated him. How could he just up and leave like that? Did he really think that Slender wouldn't come back for him? Well, not Slender exactly, of course he just sent Masky to come and find him.

Masky stared at the long road ahead of him. Slender had already told him that Brian and Toby were staying somewhere in L.A. He thought that they might have went somewhere with a lot of people so that they could blend in.

Y/n watched him. He gave a somewhat reasonable answer, so she wasn't going to pry. She knows better than that.

"Where are we going?"

"To find Brian, duh."

"I know that, but like, where are we headed to?"

"Los Angeles, you ever been?"

She thought about this for a moment. Sure she had been a little bit of everywhere but, never L.A. (If you have been or you live there pretend like you haven't...or something).

"N-no." She cursed herself for stuttering. She could not let this dude know that he had some kind of power over her. Which...he did. But she wasn't going to show it.

Then she realized where they were, or where she lived. She lived in the middle of the woods for God's sake! Hopefully they would make some stops. They would right? He had to eat too, so they had to.

She leaned her head against the window. The stress of the situation weighed down on her so much that sleep had finally caught up. She let out a deep sigh.

This was going to be a loooooong ride.
